Takekoma Shrine
Enshrined in Iwanuma City, Miyagi Prefecture as "Japan’s Three Inari"
Takekoma Shrine, located in Inari-cho, Iwanuma City, Miyagi Prefecture, is a miraculous shrine that has been counted as one of Japan's three Inari shrines since ancient times. Its history dates back to 842 in the early Heian period, and it was founded when Ono Takamura, a poet of the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu, took office as Mutsu no kami. Since then, it has been revered by many as a "deity of good fortune," and even now in the Reiwa era, it bestows benefits and good fortune such as industrial development, abundant harvests, business prosperity, maritime safety, traffic safety, warding off evil spirits, safe childbirth, and matchmaking. Deeply revered as a god. Approximately 1.5 million people visit the shrine each year, including on New Year's visits.
