"Morioka City Zoological Park ZOOMO" in Iwate Prefecture is a nature-rich facility where animals are observed amid forest trails and hillside paths. The Beauty of Nature Created Over Hundreds of Millions of Years
"Rokando Cave" is located in Sumita Town, Iwate Prefecture. Extending 880 meters from the entrance, the cave opens up into a mysterious dome-shaped chamber measuring 50 meters in circumference and 60 meters high, where the breathtaking "Amanoiwato Falls" cascades down 29 meters. This living limestone cave continues to grow even today, enchanting all who visit. Preserved in as natural a state as possible, it is known as an "adventure-style limestone cave," offering different routes to match each visitor’s level of exploration. Tourist spots in Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture, famous for cherry blossoms
Tenshoji Park is famous for its row of cherry blossom trees that stretches for about 2km from Sango Bridge on the Kitakami River. In 1990, it was selected as one of the top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots, making it one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Tohoku. Approximately 10,000 cherry trees and 100,000 azaleas are planted within the park, and you can enjoy a spectacular view from Jingaoka, which is located on a slightly elevated site. It's a place you'll want to visit not only during the cherry blossom season, but at any time of the year, such as enjoying picnics and sunbathing on the lush lawn in the summer, walking through a tunnel of autumn leaves in the fall, and admiring the winter scenery in the winter. It has been loved by many people since it opened in 1921.
