Hokuriku’s Oldest Winery "Horaisan Winery"

"Yamafuji Vineyard," located approximately a 16-minute drive from JR Hayahoshi Station, is the oldest winery in the Hokuriku region, with a history of more than 100 years since the land was first cultivated. Now in its fourth generation, it preserves its winemaking traditions while expanding into a range of offerings, including a cafe, events, label design, and apparel, reflecting the original founder’s vision. The wines are produced with careful control of grape yields to draw out their full potential, supported by generations of experience. In addition to the shop, a cafe serves sweets made with estate-grown grapes, and activities such as "grape-harvesting experiences" and live events are also held.

More Than a Century Built Through Determined Vision

Six years after the founder began cultivating the land with a vision of an ideal orchard, saplings were planted in 1927, and four years later, the first harvest was shipped, marking the fruition of a decade of perseverance. While many fruit trees were lost to harsh weather, only the grapevines grew strong, leading to the eventual establishment of "Yamafuji Vineyard."

Hokuriku Winery Evolving Through Tradition and Sensibility

In 2021, marking 100 years since its founding, the fourth generation was assumed by a female owner. While preserving tradition and maintaining a commitment to quality over efficiency in winemaking, the winery continues to evolve through initiatives such as original label design, apparel development, and the addition of a cafe, shaping a presence that connects with everyday life.
