"Amagase Onsen Seitenkaku" stands in the heart of the Amagase Onsen County in Hita, Oita. First opened approximately 1,300 years ago, Amagase Onsen is one of the three major hot spring areas of Bungo, alongside Beppu and Yufuin. The sulfur-scented water, with floating mineral deposits, is particularly known for its skin-beautifying benefits. "Yuyuyu" features three open-air baths and a large communal bath, while "Yama no Ne" offers an open-air bath with a reclining section and a spacious communal bath with a high ceiling, providing varied bathing settings.
