A Rare Theatrical Experience With a One-of-a-Kind Stage Mechanism
The "Noto Theater Hall", supervised by Tatsuya Nakadai, is a unique stage mechanism in the world where the stage and the outdoors become one when the large doors at the back of the stage are fully opened. Not only will you be drawn into the world of the play, but you will also be able to bask in the afterglow of an unprecedented theatrical experience, with the lush nature of Noto spreading out before your eyes in all four seasons.
Convenient Bus Access Connecting Tourist Spots and Noto Theater Hall
If you want to incorporate theater into sightseeing in Kanazawa, the connecting bus from JR Kanazawa Station is recommended. The bus travels via Nanao Station and Wakura Onsen Station, offering tranquil scenery from the window on the way to the theater. Reservations must be made at least 15 days in advance of the performance date (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays).
A Special Experience Where You Can Enjoy the View From the Stage
The dressing rooms and stage, usually closed to the public, are open for tours only on days when the theater is not in use. Tours are unavailable on performance days, during preparation periods, or on regular closing days, so advance reservations by phone are required. During performance periods, the limited-time "Teatro Café" is also open, offering coffee and light meals.
01. Soak in the public baths at Wakura Onsen to enjoy the afterglow of the play.
02. The Hasegawa Tohaku Exhibition will be held at the Nanao Museum of Art in Ishikawa Prefecture from September 20 to October 16.
03. Plenty of restaurants serve thick, sweet Noto oysters from Nakajima Town.
