A Japanese-Style Teahouse You'll Want to Stop by While Strolling Along the Lakeside
A soba and udon restaurant located on the lake near Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge. This is a Japanese house from about 180 years ago that was relocated and restored, with a thatched roof and a great atmosphere. The inside of the restaurant has a quaint appearance that makes you feel like you've traveled back in time, and you can enjoy your meal by the hearth. Our proud udon and soba noodles are made from carefully selected flour and have a gentle flavor that goes down easily. The ingredients on top of the noodles vary depending on the season, so find your favorite version.
The House From About 180 Years Ago Is Worth Seeing
This small teahouse, reconstructed from a traditional Japanese home, features a striking thatched roof and is ideal for a relaxing break near Lake Kawaguchi. The interior offers counter seating, tables, tatami rooms, and an irori hearth, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
Handmade Udon and Soba Noodles Made From Flour
Fudo Chaya is proud of its udon and soba noodles. The noodles, which are made by hand every day using carefully selected flour by skilled craftsmen, are popular for their smooth texture. They also have kamaage udon and other seasonal menu items. For those who want to take a short break, we also recommend the amazake and oshiruko that come with pickles.
