Kinpakuya Sakuda Flagship Store
Anyone can try their hand at applying gold leaf at the long-established "Kinpakuya Sakuda Flagship Store," located about a 3-minute walk from "Higashi Chaya District," a tourist spot that represents Kanazawa culture. Choose your favorite item from a menu of nine types, including chopsticks, round plates, compact mirrors, and hand mirrors, and complete your gold leaf work in about 60 minutes. The works are popular with people of all ages because they can be taken home right away. Held 4 times a day. Advance reservation required.
Touching local crafts is also a fun way to spend a rainy day. There are many workshops where you can experience making things such as pottery, glass crafts, and perfume making, and if you try this as a family or couple, it will be an opportunity to discover a surprising side of your family or partner. The results were better than I expected, given the instructions from the instructor. Of course, each piece is a one-of-a-kind piece. It's sure to be a treasure.
