Fusaki Beach, located on the west side of Ishigaki Island, is home to Angel Pier, where you can see the glowing orange sunset. In the summer, you can see the sun sinking below the horizon, and in the winter, you can see the silhouette of the Yaeyama Islands, which are attractive views unique to this area.

Stargazing Under Clear Skies And Crisp Air

Ishigaki Island is the closest island in Japan to the equator and is off the route of the jet stream, allowing starlight to reach it unhindered. You can see 84 of the 88 constellations, and you can also observe 21 first-magnitude stars in the clear air.
