The Horikawa sightseeing boat "Gurutto Matsue Horikawa Meguri" takes you slowly around the moat that surrounds Matsue Castle and the castle town. The approximately 50-minute boat trip takes you around the charming townscape, including the Sanin's only castle tower, samurai residences, and the old pine trees of Shiomi Nawate, passing through a narrow waterway about 2 meters wide, and passing over 17 bridges.
