A Tourist Attraction to See, Touch, and Learn About Airplanes
Once you enter the museum, you can watch planes taking off and landing at Misawa Air Base and experience flying an aircraft or riding a flight simulator. The museum's "Children's Square" and the outdoor "Misawa City Open Sky Plaza" are equipped with play equipment, allowing you to experience aviation science while having fun (admission is free for high school students and younger).

A Close Encounter with Legendary Aircraft in Aviation History
Famous aircraft such as "YS-11", the first domestically produced transport aircraft after the war, and "Aeronautical Research Institute’s Prototype Long-Distance Aircraft (Kokenki)", a long-distance flight test aircraft certified as an "Aerospace Technology Heritage" by the Japan Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences, are on display. "HondaJet Technology Demonstration Aircraft", a small business jet that astonished the aviation industry, is also on permanent display.
