Installing and Awarding Water Fortune Telling Fortunes
At "Ryujingū," the "Ryujin Mizu-Mikuji"—a special water-revealed fortune—can be received. When the paper is dipped into the water flowing from the dragon’s mouth, a short message appears, offering insight into areas such as health, work, or romance. From around November to April, the water station is relocated to the "Oyasumi-dokoro rest area" at the foot of the shrine to prevent freezing, allowing visitors to enjoy their fortune-reading comfortably indoors.

Seasonal Goshuin and Special Offerings Available
Dedicated items unique to "Takayama Inari Shrine" include ema shaped like the grand torii, charming protective charms, and the popular "Golden Fox Omikuji." In winter, "seasonal goshuin" featuring the snow-covered "Senbon Torii"—captured in a striking contrast of white and vermilion by local artists—are also available, offering a memorable keepsake for a winter visit.

A Cozy Rest Area for a Quiet Break
The shrine offers a rare vantage point where the "Senbon Torii" can be viewed from above, drawing many visitors to climb up to "Shinmeigu" for the sweeping panorama. A rest area beside the shrine office provides a comfortable pause, with light snacks available. The signature "Takayama Manju"—filled generously with sweet red bean paste and flavored with gentle notes of brown sugar—offers a simple, nostalgic taste.
