Tabiiro’s picks: signature dishes
"Jerk Chicken" Seasoned with an Aromatic House Spice Blend
The signature "Jerk Chicken" is made with the restaurant's own blend of more than ten spices, developed to capture authentic Jamaican flavor. The bold kick of the spices complements the savory richness of Japanese-raised chicken, whose umami deepens with every bite. Its enticing aroma and juicy texture make it a dish that's hard to resist after just one taste. The spicy flavors also pair beautifully with a variety of drinks, including beer and rum. Bringing a taste of Jamaica to Shimanto, this is the dish to order first when visiting "Sake Bar IRIE."

A message from the owner
My dream is to share the appeal of reggae with more people in Shimanto. I'm working toward hosting a large outdoor reggae event in Shimanto City someday, and regular music events at the bar are part of that effort. I hope Jamaican food and music will bring people together and lead to many new connections. The bar is also open to those who simply want to enjoy a meal without drinks. Families with children are always welcome, too, and I hope they'll feel free to stop by and enjoy the food and music.
From the Tabiiro Editorial Team
The owner is friendly and easy to talk to, and even though we had just met, conversation flowed naturally. I enjoyed hearing about the passion behind the Jamaican food and reggae. The name "Sake Bar" and the exterior had led me to expect a bar geared toward adults, but I was struck by the warm, welcoming atmosphere, where families with children feel comfortable and stopping in just for a meal is perfectly fine. The owner's dedication to spreading the appeal of reggae in Shimanto through regular events also left a strong impression. It's a place I'd especially recommend to music lovers.
