A stylish bar serving inventive cocktails and parfaits, with the feel of a hidden retreat. Its quiet, sophisticated atmosphere offers a welcome escape from the surrounding bustle.
Original Cocktails and Parfaits for a Touch of Indulgence
"The Standard" is a bar known for its inventive original cocktails. Its parfaits and à la carte dishes are overseen by a chef who previously worked at a three-Michelin-starred restaurant in France. Both the cocktails and food reflect a playful approach backed by technical skill, with a varied menu built around creative ingredient combinations. Full French courses are also planned for the future. The bar is about a 9-minute walk from Tokyo Metro Kitasando Station.
Tabiiro’s picks: signature dishes
The Eye-Catching "Porthole Strawberry" Cocktail
The cocktail "Porthole Strawberry" is made by infusing strawberries with spices and herbs, bringing out the fruit's sweetness with a clean, refreshing finish. The menu also includes a variety of other seasonal fruit cocktails made with ingredients such as peaches and watermelon. Equal to more than three servings, it also changes in flavor over time, making it well suited to sharing and lingering over at social gatherings or with groups. Its striking appearance adds to the appeal.

Seasonal Ingredients Selected with a Discerning Eye
The strawberries are shipped directly from their growing regions, with varieties selected according to what is in season. The tea leaves and spices are chosen to complement the ingredients' natural flavors. Along with its colorful presentation, the dish offers natural sweetness and aroma with every bite. Attention to detail is evident from the selection of ingredients through to the final plating.
Popular pairings
"Strawberry Truffe"
This special parfait, overseen by a chef who previously worked at a three-Michelin-starred restaurant in France, pairs the aroma of truffle with strawberries. Layers of raspberry jam, mascarpone cream, and custard are combined with crumble and rum-scented sponge cake, then finished with milk ice cream and a honey sauce made with truffle. Though the combination of strawberries and truffle is unexpected, the pairing works well and has been praised for its new flavor profile. Its elaborate presentation and striking appearance have also made it a popular, photogenic parfait.
Must-try signature dish

"Gin & Tonic"
Another highlight is the "Gin & Tonic," made with original flavored gin infused with selected tea leaves, spices, fruits, and herbs. The result is a refreshing drink, with a wide range of flavors to choose from. Many order several to compare the different varieties, and the original flavor combinations have earned a strong following.

A Versatile Space for a Range of Occasions
Dim lighting creates a refined atmosphere in which the colorful cocktails stand out. The bar is also easy to visit alone, with a quiet setting for lingering over a drink. It is often used for dates and get-togethers with friends, as well as private events and parties. Private bookings are available for groups of up to 40 people, with details arranged in consultation with the bar.
Interior
The interior features a sleek, minimalist palette of gray and black. Futuristic touches lend the space an out-of-the-ordinary feel, while its chic, refined atmosphere retains a sense of elegance. At the same time, the casual, welcoming setting makes it easy to drop in and linger at a relaxed pace.
A message from the owner
I opened this shop because I wanted to build a business around original products I'd created myself. I chose the name "The Standard" to express my commitment to offering "nothing ordinary." The deliberately reversed lettering in the logo reflects that same philosophy. I hope people who are curious about new things, as well as couples, will enjoy the products and space, both shaped by a commitment to creativity. Looking ahead, I also hope to expand into the restaurant business.
