French Cuisine Centered on Carefully Sourced Local Ingredients
Located along the road from JR Kita-Kamakura Station toward Genjiyama Park, "Bistro La Peknikova" is a hidden retreat with a loyal following from both local and out-of-prefecture visitors despite its slightly removed location. The menu features French cuisine centered on local ingredients, such as "Kamakura vegetables" and fresh seafood, prepared with a simple, gentle approach, alongside a selection of rare Slovak wines that pair well with the dishes. Without relying on luxury ingredients, each plate highlights seasonal produce at its peak, carefully prepared and widely appreciated across generations. The warm, home-like setting also suits special occasions and private gatherings.
Exceptional French Cuisine with Handpicked Regional Ingredients
The owner-chef trained for over 20 years at the Imperial Hotel and also served as a head chef at overseas diplomatic establishments. Ingredients are carefully selected with a focus on local produce, including fresh seafood sourced from Sajima Fishing Port in Yokosuka. The full-course menu highlights seasonal flavors through thoughtfully prepared, colorful dishes.
A Comfortable Dining Space Overlooking Greenery
Beyond the entrance, the dining room features a calm setting with just 12 table seats. Large windows overlook greenery, and terrace seating is available on pleasant spring and autumn days. The interior incorporates items collected from European flea markets, creating a comfortable space for a relaxed dining experience.
