Revival of a Long Loved Local Restaurant’s Signature Flavors
Located approximately a 2-minute walk from JR Kuwana Station, "Umashikuni Sakaba Heihachiro" carries forward the legacy of the long-established "Heihachiro Honten," which had been beloved in Kuwana, Mie, for many years before closing, and reopened in 2025 with that spirit intact. Signature dishes from the original are preserved, alongside a lineup that highlights seasonal ingredients with a focus on local production for local consumption, as well as newly developed items that reflect a fresh perspective. In addition to courses with all-you-can-drink options, the menu includes a variety of a la carte dishes such as "Kashiwa karaage (fried chicken)" and selections suitable for children, offering a setting that accommodates family dining.
Evolved Menu Refining Bold Flavors and Presentation
The menu features a wide selection of dishes incorporating local ingredients. While preserving the image of "Heihachiro Honten," once known for its hearty portions, the offerings also introduce new ideas with careful attention not only to visually striking presentation but also to flavor.
Spacious Japanese Style Interior for Relaxed Dining
The interior features a calm, Japanese-modern design centered on the warmth of wood. Seating includes sofas and sunken kotatsu-style seating, accommodating a variety of occasions, including group gatherings. Semi-private rooms are also available, allowing a relaxed dining setting with added privacy.
