Hidden Cafe with a Bear in a Back Alley
Tucked into a back alley, a 5-minutes walk from JR Kurashiki Station, this hidden café is run by two childhood friends and marked by a bear in a small hat inspired by the chef. The menu features the signature "Miracle Japanese Chestnut Mont Blanc" and the photogenic "Bear Drink," alongside original creative dishes served at lunch and dinner. Antique-style furnishings shape a stylish, all-smoking interior, and a reservation-only private room accommodates visits with dogs, offering a flexible setting for small groups and families.
Linger Over Dinner in a Changed Atmosphere
The popular 'Chicken Nanban' features homemade tartar sauce, plenty of eggs and succulent, well-seasoned chicken. At lunchtime, it is served as a hearty main course. In the evening, the same dish is available as "Evening Chicken Nanban", a more sophisticated option that pairs well with alcohol and contains a secret ingredient: balsamic vinegar.
Welcoming Interior Comfortable Across Generations
The warm, natural white interior features table and sofa seating, plus a private room for up to 35 diners (reservation required), suitable for dining with your pet. The restaurant is also available to rent for private parties and after-parties, making it a great choice.
