A Polar Bear Landmark Cafe Offering Matcha and Shiratama Sweets

Located approximately a 10-minute walk from JR Asahikawa Station, "SHIROKUMATCHA" is a cafe marked by a polar bear on its awning. Strolling around Asahikawa Heiwadori Shopping Park with a takeaway treat such as a "Matcha Latte" made with domestic matcha and Hokkaido milk, or a "Shirokumamatcha Soft Serve Cream" sprinkled with matcha powder, is highly recommended. Inside the shop, sit on a bench and enjoy the fluffy, chewy "Issun Tofu Shiratama" along with freshly prepared domestic matcha. As you gaze at the round eyes of the polar bear painted behind the counter, the cozy atmosphere is sure to make you feel warmly at ease.
