Savor Natural Bluefin Tuna and Premium Misaki Tuna
This restaurant, conveniently located just a three-minute walk from JR Kamakura Station, offers wild bluefin tuna. You can savor seafood dishes prepared with wild bluefin tuna and "Misaki tuna" directly sourced from Misaki Port in Kanagawa Prefecture while enjoying the view of the second torii gate of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, making it a popular spot for tourists visiting Kamakura. The "Superb Lean Meat" menu features a comparison of world-class quality wild bluefin tuna from Ireland and high-quality "Misaki tuna," kept fresh through advanced freezing technology immediately after being caught. Along with tuna, they also recommend the "Shirasu Donburi," limited to 10 servings per day, made with "Shonan Shirasu" from Hira Toshimaru, a whitebait fishing net maker at Sajima Port on the west coast of Yokosuka.
A Wide Variety of Misaki Tuna Toppings
The table is set with a selection of condiments, including sweet soy sauce, rich soy sauce, and red vinegar, allowing each dish to be enjoyed to individual taste. Additional toppings such as "Marinated Egg Yolk," featuring "Misaki tuna," "Three Sheets of Nori" (seaweed) for hand rolls, and the special "Chazuke" (rice with broth) made with house dashi are also not to be missed.
A Peaceful Dining Space with Views of the Second Torii Gate
The restaurant features a modern Japanese interior with natural wood accents and traditional paintings that add a touch of elegance. In addition to counter and table seating, there are semi-private rooms for two—ideal for dates—and private tatami rooms for up to six guests, offering a comfortable setting for families with children.
