Grab a Drink and Some Takoyaki With Tasty Sides
This izakaya specializes in takoyaki and is located approximately a four-minute walk from Hiroshima Electric Railway's Hatchobori tram stop. The takoyaki, cooked in a special batter with a strong dashi stock, has a fluffy and creamy texture and is deeply flavorful, and the plain version, which can be eaten as is, is one of the most popular dishes. There are 13 types in total, and takeout is also available. In addition to takoyaki, there is a wide selection of special octopus dishes, including sashimi, beach-grilled dishes, and stir-fried dishes made with octopus caught in the Seto Inland Sea. There are about 50 other a la carte dishes, including Hiroshima specialties, and about 100 types of alcohol, including champagne, sours, and beer. There is also a standing bar, so it seems like a good place for a quick drink.

One-of-a-Kind Special Takoyaki You Won’t Find Elsewhere
The takoyaki, carefully made with a dashi-infused batter, is fluffy on the inside and cooked to perfection. There are 13 flavor options, including "Suyaki (plain with no sauce)", the classic sauce flavor, "Negiponmayo (topped with spring onion, ponzu, and mayo)", and "Shiogoma-abura (a savory blend of sesame oil and salt)". Extra toppings are available for an additional fee. Don’t miss the "Tsuketakoyaki" - takoyaki dipped in flavorful dashi broth.

Diverse Octopus Dishes That Pair Well With Alcohol
In addition to takoyaki, there are plenty of octopus dishes, including octopus sashimi, tempura, fried octopus, and ajillo. Octopus is low in calories and high in protein and contains a lot of taurine, which is said to enhance the liver's detoxifying function. This makes it the perfect snack to go with alcohol. There are also plenty of other dishes that go well with alcohol.
