A Traditional Café With the Comfort of Wood and the Soft Scent of Tatami
This old-style café is located about a seven-minute drive from the roadside station "Lalan Fujioka" in Gunma. The owner, originally from Fujioka City, opened it as the second location of "Hatsuyukido Akagi Flagship" with the hope of "livening up Fujioka". The store's interior, where sunlight pours in through the windows, has tatami-floored table seats and private rooms, and you can also catch a glimpse of the carp swimming in the corner of the Japanese garden. In addition to healthy dishes made with seasonal ingredients from Gunma Prefecture, the menu features a wide variety of sweets and drinks. You’ll also find Fujioka-exclusive items, such as the "Tsukimi Hamburger Plate (Demi-Japanese Style)," which is not available at the Akagi Flagship.

Gentle light pours in through the windows, and the warmth of the wooden tables and chairs and the soothing scent of the tatami mats fill the air, creating a cozy space. Over 40 types of Japanese and Western dishes are on the menu, such as "Kara age gohan (fried chicken rice)", "Roast Beef Bowl (with soup)," and "Hamburger Plate (Demi-Japanese Style)." There is also a wide selection of sweets, such as cakes, parfaits, and pancakes, making it a great place to take a break from driving or for lunch.
