A Long-Loved Bread Factory’s "Kakushoku" Specialty Shop
"Kakushoku LABO" is a specialty shop dedicated to "Kakushoku"—square-shaped bread beloved by locals in Hokkaido. Operated directly by Otaru Seipan, a bakery founded in 1929 and cherished by the community for generations, the store crafts unique flavors and original menu items using Hokkaido-grown wheat, premium local ingredients, and carefully selected imports from around the world. The shop offers ten varieties of kakushoku as its main lineup, along with an assortment of savory breads, crusty loaves, and baked sweets, letting you enjoy a wide range of flavors. Step inside and follow the aroma of freshly baked bread delivered straight from the adjacent bakery as you choose your favorite loaf.

A Fun and Impressive Lineup of “Kakushoku” (Square Bread)
The shop offers 10 varieties of its signature "Kakushoku (square bread)," including "Takara", "Kaguwa", "Kirari", and the "Grand Prix", known for their soft texture and satisfying volume. Each loaf has its own distinctive texture and aroma, thanks to the use of different types of wheat and yeast.
