A Dedicated Shop for Sweet Potato Lovers
"Imodokoro Imorou" is a specialty sweet potato confectionery and sweets shop located along "Yumekyobashi Castle Road" where townhouses line the streets below Hikone Castle in Hikone City, Shiga. The owner, a former Japanese chef, offers a new style of sweets that combine sweet potatoes and sweets with a "WA - Japanese" concept. The sweet potatoes used are carefully selected from the production area. The shop offers popular sweets such as "Tsubo-yaki-imo (pot roasted sweet potato)", which is slowly and carefully roasted, and the specialty "Nama-mitsu Imo-kenpi (raw honey sweet potato chips)", which are made with roasted sweet potatoes, "Sweet potato parfait", "Yaki-imo brulee", and "Honey sweet potato milk", which are perfect for eating on the go. There are also many souvenirs such as "sweet potato chips". The Japanese-style café on the shop's second floor has a calm atmosphere and is a great place to relax.

Handpicked Sweet Potatoes, Roasted to Perfection and Served With Delightful Sweets
The baked sweet potatoes are made in "Shigaraki ware pots", a traditional craft that Shiga is proud of, and are carefully baked every day using the ancient method of "Tsubo yaki (pot baking)". The specialty sweet potato chips are hand-cut into extremely thin pieces, resulting in an elegant dish with a rich texture. Daigaku-imo sweet potatoes, which you can enjoy the taste of freshly baked sweet potatoes, are also popular.

Perfect for Eat-In, Takeaway, or as a Tasty Gift
The tasteful shop offers a wide range of delicious sweet potato desserts, including their famous "Nama Mitsu Imo Kenpi (sweet potato chips)", "Tsubo-yaki Imo (baked sweet potato in a pot)", "Sweet potato parfait", "Yaki Imo brulee", and "Daigaku Imo smoothie (crispy sweet potato with sugar glaze)". There is also a relaxing Japanese-style café on the second floor. There is also a wide range of souvenirs, such as "Sweet potato chips," so if you are visiting as a tourist, it is definitely worth stopping by.
