A Long-Loved Café Since 1966 on Miyajima, a Historic UNESCO World Heritage Site
Kissa Shima started out as a coffee shop where a former railroad worker carefully brewed coffee. His granddaughter has now inherited the tradition. The shop is renowned for not only its traditional coffee but also for its delicious freshly baked bread made with carefully selected ingredients and baked goods such as cookies and cakes. One of the most popular items is "Miyajima Weekend Citron", a refreshingly sweet and sour cake made with honey harvested in Miyajima and lemons from the Seto Inland Sea.This makes a perfect souvenir from Miyajima and is a must-try. There is also a food menu including sandwiches, so you can enjoy a leisurely meal or coffee time.

The very popular "Miyajima Weekend Citron"
"Miyajima Weekend Citron" is the original baked confectionery from Coffee & Bakery Shima. The refreshing scent of honey harvested in Miyajima and lemons from the Seto Inland Sea, combined with the sweetness of the icing sugar on top, creates a sweet and sour taste that will leave you wanting more. This is the perfect souvenir from Miyajima. A set with coffee is also available.

Honey Toast: A Sweet Favorite for a Midday Treat
Honey toast is made by topping ice cream on thickly sliced homemade bread and drizzling it with honey from Miyajima. The cold ice cream melts on the warm toast and becomes one with it, creating a truly blissful taste. Best enjoyed with a cup of carefully brewed coffee.
