Experience Fermentation Culture at a Historic Brewery in Nada Gogo’s Uozaki District

This long-established sake brewery in Uozakigo, Hyogo, rebuilt its brewery after it was completely destroyed in the earthquake of January 1995. From the glass-walled walkway, you can observe the entire sake brewing process in real time throughout the four seasons. It is also a popular Kobe destination for touring the sake breweries of the Nada Gogo, and the facility is well equipped with the three key elements of brewing, showcasing, and retail. Commemorative photo spots, a tasting corner for "namazake (unpasteurized sake)," and a "direct sales area" are also available.

Experience the Sweet Aroma of Mellow Mash and the Sound of Fermentation

Among the many fascinating facilities where you can observe the entire sake brewing process through glass, the "Moromi Brewing Experience Corner" is highly recommended. The mellow aroma of fermenting moromi creates an atmosphere where the subtle "voice of sake" can be sensed as it bubbles to life. As the line is part of an active production process, the scenes observed vary depending on the day of the visit.

For visitors interested in exploring additional varieties, the Sake Tasting Room (fee required) offers a sampling of fresh namazake (unpasteurized sake) and the brewery’s finest labels. Soft-serve ice cream is also available, making the space appealing to younger guests.
