Hands-on papermaking related to Nishijima Washi—the area’s traditional craft—along with a selection of washi goods, provides an engaging cultural experience. A spacious lawn area also enhances the setting, creating a beautiful roadside station that offers something for visitors of all ages.

Easy-to-Try Papermaking and Calligraphy Experiences

"Kamisukikan" offers a variety of washi-related activities, including "Ichiji-suki" and "Uchiwa-suki" papermaking, calligraphy sessions, exhibitions, artisan workshop tours, and sales of washi goods. The facility provides an accessible way to experience the tradition of washi. Workshops and events are also held at "Fureaikan."
