Guest Room

Model Home Style Accommodation Operated by a Design Office

Operated by an architectural firm dedicated to creating comfortable design and spaces, the building reflects careful attention to detail throughout. At a time when high-performance homes are drawing interest, the stay offers an opportunity to experience this style of living and gain a clearer sense of home design.

Living Room Designed to Function as a Private Theater

Windows with shoji screens blend Japanese and Western elements, framing views of Etajima’s natural surroundings. The floor is covered with natural wool carpeting, and the space is furnished with a custom-built sofa and a 100-inch projector, allowing for relaxed movie viewing.

First-Floor "Washitsu" Blending Japanese and Western Comfort

The Japanese-style room provides ample space for up to three guests, making it suitable as a bedroom during group stays. Featuring shoji screens and tatami flooring, the space evokes a traditional atmosphere. Light filters in through an upper window, introducing a subtle Western element, and the room is connected to a Western-style room on the second floor by stairs.

Second-Floor "Yoshitsu" with Views of the Sea

The second-floor Western-style room accommodates up to three guests and features the warmth of wood in contrast to the Japanese-style room. The space includes a workspace with views of cherry blossoms in spring and a window bench overlooking the sea, suited for reading while taking in the changing seasons of Etajima.

Dining Area Wrapped in the Warmth of Natural Wood

A space featuring a table crafted from Hiroshima cedar pillars and a custom-built kitchen. Large windows create a warm interior that connects to a deck overlooking the sea, where outdoor dining is possible on clear days. Bringing ingredients together supports a relaxed, home-style gathering.

Facility

Wash and Laundry Area Designed for Long-Term Comfort

A custom-built vanity area features a drum-style washing machine and a clothes dryer, providing a comfortable extended stay. Laundry detergent is also provided, allowing for a stay with everyday convenience. Amenities include a toothbrush, toothpaste, bath towels, face towels, and a hair dryer.

Bath Space Infused with the Scent of Hiba Cypress Wood

The half-unit bath made with Aomori hiba cypress wood creates a distinctive setting, where bathing is accompanied by the gentle fragrance of the material. A large window frames views of Etajima’s natural surroundings. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided.

Entry and Cloakroom Finished with Natural Wood Warmth

The space is finished with extensive use of natural wood, creating a cohesive interior, and includes a coat rack and entry storage for larger luggage and clothing. Slippers are intentionally not provided, allowing the feel of solid wood flooring to be experienced barefoot.

Approach to the Entrance Through a Nature-Filled Path

A garden surrounded by a variety of trees leads to the entrance, offering a sense of the natural setting along the approach. Parking for up to two vehicles is available on the property; however, the access road is relatively narrow, and alternative parking can be arranged for larger vehicles.
