Nikko Hoshinoyado is a tranquil hot spring inn located just a 3-minute walk from Shinkyo Bridge, the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Nikko shrines and temples. Four Premium "Special Room"

There are four types of "Special Room", each with a private bath, such as a cypress bath or a LIXIL "Spage". There are Japanese-style rooms and Japanese-Western-style rooms, and barrier-free rooms are also available. A massage chair is by the window, making it a relaxing space.

"Standard Room" Offering a Calm "Wa" Ambiance

A "Standard Room" is a peaceful Japanese-style room with 12 tatami mats, accommodating up to four guests. From the large window on the veranda, enjoy views of the beautiful Japanese garden, where flowers bloom throughout the seasons. Relax and unwind by stretching out on the tatami.

A Single Room Featuring a Shower

There is also one "Standard Room" with a shower. The room is equipped with typical Japanese amenities, including cleansing lotion, toothbrushes, yukata robes, and tabi socks, making it popular with international guests who are not accustomed to large public baths.

Nikko Onsen, believed to have been called the "Dreamy Hot Spring (Muso no Yu)" by Kobo Daishi, offers a large public bath using hot spring water known for its benefits in relieving stiff shoulders and enhancing skin beauty. The facility includes a spacious indoor bath and an open-air bath, where guests can enjoy seasonal views such as fresh greenery, autumn leaves, and snow.

"Private Bath Amanogawa"

A private bath is available by reservation, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful and private experience. It is ideal for those with children or those who feel uneasy about bathing alone, providing a relaxing environment to unwind. Additionally, it is convenient for day trips.

Popular Dinner Dish "Wakana"

The popular "KAISEKI" menu features a generous use of seasonal ingredients, including "Hikiage Yuba (freshly pulled tofu skin)", "Nikko Yuba Sashimi", and "Tochigi Kirifuri Kogen Beef" from Tochigi Prefecture. By contacting us in advance, it is possible to request a fish dish as the main course.

"Aoi" Specially Prepared by the Head Chef

"Aoi" is a special course where you can enjoy luxurious ingredients such as spiny lobster, Japanese beef fillet, and foie gras carefully selected by the head chef. The beautifully presented dishes are a visual treat, and the head chef's individuality and skill shine through in the well-balanced harmony of Japanese and Western cuisine.

The hearty "Matsukaze"

"Matsukaze" is a hearty dish offering seafood, beef, and the specialty "Hikiage Yuba". The freshly made yuba, pulled from soy milk by the inn, is a signature dish that the inn takes great pride in. After enjoying the yuba, tofu made with nigari (a magnesium-rich coagulant from seawater) is also highly popular.

"Hana-en" Limited to Four Groups Per Day

The "Hana-en" can be enjoyed in a private room at the in-house restaurant, "Yoi Murasaki", while overlooking the Japanese garden. Created to commemorate the beginning of the Reiwa era, this course, limited to just four groups per day, features a luxurious blend of Japanese and Western ingredients. It is also highly recommended as a dinner for special occasions.

Breakfast made with ingredients carefully selected by the chef

The breakfast served at "Ryotei Yoi Murasaki" and "Ryotei Wakatake" is a Japanese meal made with ingredients carefully selected by the head chef. A drink corner is also available, allowing you to enjoy a hearty breakfast. If you contact us three days in advance, you can request a change to a Western-style breakfast.

The inn is located on a hilltop and features a moss-covered Japanese garden where you can feel the changing seasons. We recommend sitting on a chair in the garden, listening to the birds chirping, and watching the seasonal flowers and trees swaying in the breeze, enjoying the leisurely flow of time.
