Ryokan Suiranro, which stands on the banks of the Kuma River, a first-class river in Kumamoto Prefecture, has been revived after being damaged by heavy rains in July 2020. Hitoyoshi Onsen is the birthplace of Hitoyoshi Onsen, and is a beautiful inn that has been protecting the source since 1910 and boasts a rich source of natural hot spring water. All rooms will be renewed in February 2023, and some rooms will have semi-open-air baths. You can enjoy bathing as much as you like, whenever you like. You will be able to enjoy and soothe the ever-changing nature from anywhere within the museum. The head chef is particular about local production and seasonal ingredients, and serves dishes that can only be enjoyed while traveling. You can enjoy the relaxation that only a hot spring inn can provide.

Guest Rooms Designed with the Theme of Climate and Nature

All rooms were renovated in February 2023, with a theme of Hitoyoshi City's climate and nature. From the unique rooms, you can experience the flow of the Kuma River, the lush mountain range, and the presence of wild birds, and there are also rooms that are wheelchair-friendly.

Among the various guest rooms, some have their own private hot spring semi-open-air baths and terraces, so you can enjoy soaking in the hot springs whenever and however you like. I want to enjoy a relaxing time that blends into the magnificent nature that stretches out before my eyes.

The historic "No. 1 hot spring source "Mikage no Yu""

Mikage-no-Yu, the oldest hot spring source in Hitoyoshi Onsen, started in 1910. The granite bathtub, which has been around since the hotel opened, is overflowing with hot spring water that moisturizes and beautifies your skin, fed directly from the source at a temperature of approximately 43 degrees. The retro style of the bathtub is also very tasteful.

"No. 2 hot springs "Suigawa no Yu" and "Suisan Yu"

"No. 2 hot spring source "Suigawa no Yu" (2nd floor) and "No. 2 hot spring source "Suisan Yu" (3rd floor) each have a large indoor bath, an open-air bath, and a sauna. You can soak in the hot water while looking out at the expansive nature, and you can see the Kuma River from the sauna.

The open-air baths include the "No. 2 hot spring source "Suigawa no Yu" and "Suizan Yu" where you can enjoy the dynamic scenery, and there are four locations: "No. 3 hot spring source "Midori-no-Yu ≪Kumo≫" and "Midori-no-Yu ≪Sora.≫"

"No. 3 hot spring source "Midori-no-Yu ≪Kumo≫" and "Midori-no-Yu ≪Sora≫" are both open-air baths where you can enjoy the scent of wood, and can be reserved for private use between 3pm and 11pm. You can take a bath freely between 6:30 and 9:30, so you can refresh yourself with a morning bath.

Spend time in a sauna with the view of the Kuma River

The sauna, which was newly built in February 2023 after renovations, allows you to work up a sweat while overlooking the Kuma River. Experience the blissful combination of feeling refreshed from within and then relaxing in the open-air hot spring bath.

Cuisine

Kaiseki cuisine that brightens up your trip with a focus on local production and local consumption.

For dinner, there are "Chef's Recommended Kaiseki" and "Standard Kaiseki," both of which use ingredients carefully selected by the head chef and prepared in the best possible condition. I want to enjoy seasonal foods, local foods, and special delicacies that can only be tasted while traveling.

Breakfast for a luxurious start to the day

Start your day healthy with a Japanese set meal made with plenty of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The taste of egg-fried rice made with freshly shaved bonito flakes and hot spring eggs and hot spring tofu topped with soy sauce made from hot spring water will surely become an unforgettable memory of your trip.

Reservations are required for meals at the Italian dining restaurant "Torattoria verde." You can enjoy Italian cuisine made with carefully selected local ingredients, as well as Italian beer "Peroni Nastroazzurro" and "Kuma Shochu."
