Every Room Overlooks the Ocean at This Hot Spring Ryokan
This seaside ryokan underwent extensive renovations in 2024, including its large communal bath, private open-air bath, entrance lobby, and Japanese-style rooms in the East Wing. Set along the shore with sweeping views of the Sea of Japan and Miho Bay, the property offers ocean views from every guest room. The abundant waters of Kaike Onsen, supplied by 19 hot spring sources, flow continuously into the large communal baths and open-air baths. A variety of accommodations, including Japanese-style, Western-style, and Japanese-Western rooms, allows guests to choose the setting that best suits their travel style. Dining features kaiseki cuisine, showcasing the seasonal flavors of the San'in region. Facing Kaike Onsen Beach, the property also offers the opportunity to combine hot spring bathing with seaside recreation during the summer months, accompanied by the soothing sound of gentle waves.

Guest Room

West Wing Twin Boasting One of the Best Views

Among the rooms with great ocean views, the twin rooms in the west wing are especially recommended. The sea view that stretches out from the window is exceptional. Of course, we use high-grade Simmons beds.

Tatami-Floored Double and Semi-Double Rooms

The "semi-double" and "double" rooms in the west building have tatami floors that are comfortable for bare feet. Both rooms are popular with couples. The sound of the waves and the beds equipped with Simmons mattresses are sure to give you a good night's sleep.

A Wide Bed Awaits in the West Wing "Resort Single"

All rooms in the west building were also renovated in February 2020. The "Resort Single" with a 160cm wide Simmons queen size bed is perfect for business trips. You can sit in a relaxing chair and enjoy the view of Miho Bay.

Western and Japanese-Western Rooms with Traditional Character

The east building also has Western-style rooms and one Japanese-Western room. Some of the Western-style rooms use tatami mats, creating a twin space with a Japanese atmosphere. The Japanese-Western style room has a calm atmosphere and can accommodate up to 5 people, making it popular with people of all ages.

The East Wing Offers Japanese Rooms in a Range of Sizes

There are a total of 90 guest rooms in the east and west buildings. The east building, all of which were renovated in 2013, has Japanese-style rooms of different sizes, such as 7.5, 10, and 18 tatami mats, meeting the needs of people who want to relax barefoot, from solo travelers to families.

Spa

Natural Hot Springs Rich in the Sea's Mineral Blessings

The open-air bath and large communal bath, where you can enjoy the ocean view, are fed directly from Kaike Onsen. Kaike Onsen is a chloride spring that gushes out from the ocean floor, and is also known as the "salt bath." It is said to be effective for skin beautification, fat burning, and atopic dermatitis.

Private Open-Air Bath & Family Bath

If you want to enjoy bathing without hesitation, try a private open-air bath or a family bath. All of them are fed directly from the source of Kaike Onsen. In the private open-air bath, you can enjoy the spectacular view of Miho Bay up close. I want to relax and enjoy the natural hot springs while listening to the sea breeze and the sound of waves.

Cuisine

Seasonal Taste of San'in "Chef's Choice Kaiseki"

As a standard plan for the inn, we offer a Kaiseki course unique to this area that incorporates seafood caught from the rich waters of the San'in region and local vegetables grown at the foot of Mt. Daisen. The menu changes depending on the season, allowing you to enjoy delicious seasonal ingredients.

"Savor Domestic Beef, Pork, and Chicken with the "Meat Kaiseki"

This Kaiseki course is recommended for people who like meat or don't like seafood. All of the beef, pork, and chicken meat used is fresh and domestically produced. The menu changes from time to time, but for example, you can indulge in meat with dishes such as "Ishiyaki Tottori Wagyu Beef" and "Daisen Herb Chicken Grilled with Hoba."

Breakfast Featuring the Popular "Tamago Kake Gohan"

Breakfast features a traditional Japanese set meal prepared with care by the head chef. A highlight is a tasting of tamago kake gohan, a classic Japanese dish of steamed rice topped with a fresh local "Sakura Egg" and paired with a selection of soy sauces, with unlimited refills. The soy sauces are also available for purchase, making a memorable local souvenir.

Location

Great location on the shore of Miho Bay

Facing Kaike Onsen Beach, one of Yonago's best-known destinations, this hotel offers the rare opportunity to experience both seaside recreation and hot springs during the summer season. Every guest room overlooks the sea, where soothing views and the gentle sound of the waves create a relaxing atmosphere.
