Step Back Into Showa-Era Japan at a One-Room Inn
Originally operated for about seven years near Jogasaki-Kaigan Station in Ito City, the dining establishment relocated to Nagisa Town in January 2020 and reopened as a restaurant with accommodations. The building was formerly a vacation home owned by an antique collector and was constructed nearly half a century ago, retaining a distinct Showa-era character throughout. Accommodations consist of a single 10-tatami Japanese-style guest room, where original features such as the ajiro ceiling have been preserved. A fusuma painting, using the sliding doors as its canvas, depicts a panoramic view of Ito as seen from the sea. Renovated with the intention of creating "a home not for living in, but for sharing and enjoying with guests," the property balances nostalgic charm with a clean and comfortable atmosphere.

Guest Room

One Japanese-Style Room for Up to Six Guests

A single guest room is located on the second floor of the restaurant "Ichiju Sansai." Although the building dates back nearly half a century, it has been thoughtfully renovated to preserve its Showa-era character while maintaining a clean and comfortable atmosphere. After a leisurely meal, the guest room provides a quiet setting to relax and savor the lingering impressions of the dining experience.

Design Inspired by Showa-Era Ito

The owner chose this building for its distinctive design. Thoughtful details can be found throughout, including fusuma paintings depicting Ito's scenery and intricately crafted transoms. Another reason for selecting the property was the desire to share a space filled with such design elements with guests who appreciate this style of craftsmanship and architecture.

Convenient Access for a Flexible Stay

The second floor, where the guest room is located, includes a clean powder room and a simple, functional kitchenette, allowing guests to enjoy light meals at their own pace as they unwind after a day of travel. A fully automatic washing machine, refrigerator, and microwave are also provided for added convenience.

Restaurant&bar

Dining at "Ichiju Sansai"

The first floor houses a restaurant specializing in Ashitaka Beef and Fujinokuni Pork. After exploring a wide range of menu offerings over the years, the owner chose to focus on two branded meats featured throughout the menu. The dining space retains the charm of the Showa era, creating a relaxed atmosphere where guests can take their time and enjoy a leisurely meal.

Recommended Three-Cut Shizuoka Brand Meat Platter

A signature selection is the three-cut platter featuring both "Ashitaka Beef" and "Fujinokuni Pork." Showcasing two of Shizuoka's renowned branded meats, the platter highlights the distinct flavors and characteristics of each cut. Sharing the variety of tastes and textures while pairing them with red wine adds to the dining experience.

Just approximately a 1-minute walk away is the "Ito Togo Memorial Museum," the former villa where Admiral Heihachiro Togo spent his later years and the first property registered as a National Tangible Cultural Property in the Reiwa era. The building remains much as it was during that time and displays a collection of valuable artifacts, including armor passed down through the Togo family.

Ito's Distinctive Hot Spring Baths Nearby

Ito is well known for its hot springs, and the area surrounding the property is home to numerous day-use hot spring facilities and public bathhouses. The town is also known for the "Ito Seven Lucky Gods Hot Springs," and "Wadayu," the oldest among them, is located approximately a 5-minute walk from the property.

Within Walking Distance of Ito Station

The property is approximately a 13-minute walk from Ito Station, served by both JR and the Izu Kyuko Line. Along the route from the station, "Yunohana-dori Shopping Street" offers opportunities to browse local food and souvenirs.
