A Pure Japanese-Style Hot Spring Inn Offering Luxury Amidst the Charm of Four Seasons
A pure Japanese-style hot spring inn right in front of the entrance to Ishidangai, the symbol of Ikaho Onsen. There are 16 different types of guest rooms, including rooms with terraces and open-air baths, and guest rooms with open-air baths on the top floor where you can enjoy the hot spring all to yourself. A large public bath where you can enjoy Ikaho Onsen's "Kogane no Yu" and "Shirogane no Yu" flowing directly from the source, and a private rock bath where you can enjoy "Golden Hot Spring" that is 100% free flowing from the source. It is also popular. Kaiseki cuisine incorporating seasonal flavors is also one of the inn's specialties. Spend a luxurious time relaxing in Ikaho's hot springs and savoring seasonal dishes.

Guest Room

Rooms with Terraces and Open-Air Baths in the New Building "Juutei"

The new building, "Juutei," is a fusion of Japanese style and modernity, with a total of 4 rooms. The Japanese-Western style room has an open-air bath on a large terrace, and the beautiful mountain range of Joshu can be seen from the large windows. In the open-air bath, you can have Ikaho Onsen's "Shirogane no Yu" all to yourself.

Room with Open-Air Bath on the Top Floor Overlooking the Spectacular View

There are 4 rooms with open-air baths on the top floor. From the open-air bath in the guest room, you can see the magnificent mountains of Joshinetsu, and enjoy the seasonal expressions of the mountains. Enjoy a relaxing bath in the "Shirokane no Yu", which is said to have beautifying effects.

"Hana" has a bath and living area with a garden hot spring.

"Zakuro", which opened in November 2021, is a guest room located in the new building/south building overlooking the stone steps of Ikaho Onsen. The relaxing bath living room is equipped with a large black granite bathtub and a bench where you can soak in the "Shirogane no Yu" while looking out at the garden.

Pure Japanese-style guest rooms with open-air baths "Tsuga" and "Sawa"

The purely Japanese-style guest rooms "Toga" and "Sawa", which feature an elegant open-air bath with "Shirogane no Yu", will reopen in October 2021. You can spend a relaxing time in this small and comfortable space.

Hot Springs

"Tamaibuki-no-Yu" is a large public bath with an authentic wooden structure.

A hot spring bath built in an authentic wooden structure that uses plenty of Japanese cypress. In the large communal bath and attached open-air bath, you can enjoy Ikaho Onsen's "Shirogane no Yu". There is also a steam mist and sauna, so enjoy a relaxing bath.

"Haikuri-no-Yu", a large bath with a view of the Tanigawa Mountains

The large public bath was completely renovated in 2014. An open-air bath was added, and both the washing area and changing room were significantly expanded. In this spacious bath overlooking the Tanigawa Mountains, you can fully enjoy both Ikaho Onsen's "Golden-no-Yu" and "Shirogane-no-Yu."

Private rock bath "Koharubiyori"

A private indoor bath where you can enjoy the luxurious 100% free-flowing "golden hot water" that has been flowing from Ikaho Onsen since ancient times. It is popular among families and couples. Private baths are available for 3,240 yen for 50 minutes.

Cuisine

Enjoy the colorful flavors of each season

For dinner, kaiseki cuisine incorporating seasonal flavors is served in beautiful presentations that evoke the sense of the season. We want you to enjoy with your eyes and tongue each and every item that is carefully made using carefully selected fresh ingredients.

Seasonal Kaiseki cuisine featuring local ingredients

The inn's signature seasonal kaiseki cuisine is carefully prepared using local, seasonal ingredients, and beautifully presented on dishes carefully selected by the proprietress. I also enjoy the hospitality of hot food being served hot and cold food being served cold.

Restaurants "Mayu Akari" and "Yama Akari"

There are two restaurants within the hotel: "Mayu Akari," a modern Japanese restaurant with tatami mats and table seating, and "Yama Akari," which offers a view of Ikaho's stone steps and the Tanigawa Mountain Range. "Yamaakari" can be used when staying at the new building "Juutei" or for lunch, and private rooms are also available.

Facility

Inside the building is full of Japanese atmosphere where you can feel the charm of the four seasons.

You can always feel the four seasons throughout the hotel, including the lounge overlooking the Japanese garden and the restaurant "Mayu Akari," the large public bath "Haikuri no Yu" with a view of the mountains, and the restaurant "Yama Akari." Enjoy an extraordinary time surrounded by the four seasons of Joshu at an inn with a Japanese atmosphere.
