Guest Room

Space Where Traditional Flavor Meets Modern Comfort

The renovated lodging, created from a traditional house more than 50 years old, reflects a modern interpretation of the "mise" storefront style that once contributed to the lively atmosphere of the Tokaido Road during the Edo period. The space blends the character of traditional Japanese architecture with contemporary functionality.

Soft and Comfortable Loungewear for Relaxation

Separate-style samue loungewear made from cool, soft fabric and featuring the lodging’s logo is provided for guests. Designed for comfort and ease of movement, the garments have also earned favorable reviews from overseas guests and are available for purchase upon request.

Bedroom Surrounded by Japanese Design Elements

The bedroom features an 8-tatami-mat Japanese-style space where families with small children and groups can unwind in comfort. To encourage a relaxing stay immersed in a distinctly Japanese atmosphere, televisions and clocks have intentionally not been placed in the room.

Spacious Dining Area Overlooking the Courtyard Garden

The guest room overlooks the courtyard's greenery from the dining space. The large table is suited not only for meals but also for reading and work. Blending the character of a traditional house with contemporary design, the space also features an adjacent island kitchen that encourages conversation while cooking.

Spa

Semi-Open-Air Bath with Courtyard Views

The bath area in the detached section of the main house features a semi-outdoor bath where seasonal scenery and bathing can be fully enjoyed beneath soft lighting. The small courtyard garden beyond the windows, along with the chic, refined design and airy openness created by the passing breeze, adds to the atmosphere.

Cuisine

Dinner Plan Featuring Authentic Gozen from a Popular Restaurant

Meals from "Yoshikawa," a well-known restaurant in the Kambara area, can be enjoyed in the guest room, featuring dishes such as "Sakura Shrimp Kakiage (tempura fritter)" made with generous amounts of Suruga Bay's local sakura shrimp and "Unagi Hitsumabushi" prepared with carefully selected grilled eel. A variety of plans suited to different styles of stay is also available.

Japanese Course Plan Showcasing the Flavor of Tuna

A plan featuring a Japanese course meal made with southern bluefin tuna, delivered directly from Shimizu Port, can be enjoyed at "Kambara-kan," a dining venue approximately a 10-minute walk from the lodging. The course includes a variety of dishes, such as "Seared Tuna Skewers" and "Seasoned Braised Tuna Cubes," as well as dessert.

Facility

Historic Ambience Inspired by Edo-Era Streets

An open earthen-floor entrance space welcomes guests with the appearance of a "mise" storefront once seen in Edo-period merchant houses, evoking the lively atmosphere of the old Tokaido Road. Beneath the gentle glow of the ceiling lights, the space offers an inviting setting for tea gatherings and relaxed conversation.

Living and Dining Area for Meals and Conversation

The living and dining area features a large dining table for meals and conversation with family and friends. Time spent gazing at the shifting light and seasonal scenery reflected in the courtyard garden beyond the large windows is complemented by an atmosphere rich in Japanese character.

Island Kitchen Designed for Comfortable Cooking

The island kitchen is fully equipped with cooking appliances such as an IH stove and microwave, along with cookware including frying pans and pots, tableware, and seasonings. Ingredients purchased nearby can be prepared comfortably while sharing time with family and friends.

Peaceful and Luxurious Time with Family

A variety of items supporting stays with children, including baby playpens, baby bathtubs, and kids’ chairs, are available. Blending a quiet setting with the character of Japanese design, the space offers a comfortable stay for guests of all ages, from infants to adults. The lodging is also well-suited for family trips and anniversary stays.
