Located on the first floor of the detached "annex," this room features an open-air bath overlooking the Oi River, offering a tranquil view of Arashiyama. The Japanese-style room is furnished with futons carefully prepared by the staff, and in-room dining allows guests to savor their meals at a relaxed pace in complete privacy.

Luxury Suite with "Semi Open-Air Bath" (Main building)

Renovated and reopened in July 2024, the three special rooms on the second floor of the main building each feature a semi-open-air bath. The spacious interiors are thoughtfully designed for comfort, featuring Simmons mattresses in the bedrooms and a relaxing layout that combines modern refinement with a sense of ease.

Deluxe Room (Main Building)

Two rooms in total combine a calming Japanese atmosphere with modern comfort. The newly renovated second floor of the main building has over 50 square meters where you can enjoy a special moment. The bedrooms are equipped with Simmons mattresses, and the bathrooms have cypress bathtubs.

Standard Guest Room (34 m², Main Building)

Soft lighting and natural wood textures create a warm and modern Japanese atmosphere in this approximately 34 m² standard room, newly renovated in the main building. Featuring a cypress bathtub and a Simmons mattress, the room offers a calm, relaxing space that blends comfort with refined design.

Japanese style single room(Main Building)

Located on the first floor of the main building, this 8-tatami Japanese-style room offers a nostalgic touch of old Japan with a traditional futon for sleeping. A cypress bathtub provides a soothing retreat, while the single-occupancy layout makes it an ideal choice for solo travellers.

Spa

Feel the Gentle Breeze of Arashiyama in Your Private Open-Air Bath

Each special room features a private open-air bath crafted from custom-made Shigaraki ware. As each piece is uniquely designed, every stay offers its own sense of exclusivity and charm. Guests can immerse themselves in a blissful moment, breathing in the pure air of Arashiyama, Kyoto.

Enjoy a Luxurious Soak in a Cypress Bath Surrounded by Nature’s Serenity

The baths utilize natural, deep groundwater nourished by the rich natural environment of Arashiyama, which contains sodium carbonate, resulting in a gentle, silky feel. A long, unhurried soak leaves the skin smooth and moisturized. Some rooms also feature cypress baths, where the soothing aroma of hinoki provides a calming retreat for both body and mind.

A Spacious Public Bath Offering Deep Relaxation for Body and Mind

In addition to the private baths in each room, the ryokan also offers separate large public baths for men and women, each with its own distinct ambiance. Guests can unwind in the spacious public bath or enjoy a soothing soak in the privacy of their room. The gentle, mineral-rich water—nurtured by nature—refreshes both body and mind.

Cuisine

A Serene Dining Room Framed by the Beauty of the Garden in Every Season

Both dinner and breakfast are served in private dining rooms featuring the warmth of wood. Guests staying in the main building are offered the privilege of savoring refined cuisine while gazing out at the garden or inner courtyard in complete privacy. Seasonal views of cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage add to the charm of the experience.

A Comforting Breakfast Made With the Bounty of Sagano and Carefully Selected Ingredients

In the morning, a wholesome Japanese breakfast is served, featuring carefully selected fish, eggs, and Sagano tofu accompanied by a delicate house-made broth. The rice is sourced from the finest available varieties of the season, ensuring the best quality at any given time. For multi-night stays, the menu varies daily—a thoughtful gesture that reflects the inn’s attentive hospitality.
