Guest Room

Comfortable Stays for Families and Beloved Pets

The West Wing, Central Wing, and East Wing all have Japanese-style rooms, and the West Wing also has Japanese-Western-style rooms in addition to the Japanese-style rooms. There are also spacious Japanese-style rooms measuring approximately 16 tatami mats, making them perfect for family trips. It is also a welcome feature that guests may stay with rabbits - after which the property is named - as well as with small indoor dogs.

Spa

A Large Public Bath With Natural Hot Springs for Relaxation

The large public bath at the natural hot spring, Takase Onsen, is constructed from massive "ancient cypress," evoking a sense of timeless tradition. The washing area is covered with tatami mats, providing warmth underfoot and a non-slip surface in winter, making it especially comfortable for senior guests. The water is maintained at 42°C and is available 24 hours a day.

"Ajisai no Yu," a Spacious Private Bath Surrounded by Serenity

This private bath, fed directly by the hot spring, features a tatami-floored washing area and a stone tub spacious enough for three to four adults. Natural light streaming through the skylight enhances the exceptional sense of openness. Designed as a semi-open-air bath, it can be enjoyed comfortably in any weather.

The Private "Totto no Yu" Bath With Both Indoor and Outdoor Tubs

There are two private stone-and-tile baths, one indoor and one outdoor, each spacious enough to comfortably accommodate three to four guests. The spacious washing area is equipped with two showers, allowing groups to enjoy a smooth and comfortable bathing experience.

Cuisine

Seasonal Dishes Prepared With Local Ingredients From Niigata

Located in Sekikawa Village, Niigata Prefecture, where the bounty of both the land and sea is abundant, this inn serves dishes that make the most of seasonal ingredients. Enjoy the deliciousness of "Murakami beef", known as "a unique type of Japanese Black beef," fresh fish sourced in Murakami City, and Koshihikari rice, "Kousagimai", a type of rice grown in Sekikawa Village.

Chef’s Table, the Pride of Our Chef

Don't miss the "Chef's Table," an exquisite course meal made with the finest local ingredients, carefully selected by the head chef, who has experience training at traditional Japanese restaurants in Tokyo and Niigata Prefecture. Reservations are limited to one group per day (up to four guests) and must be made at least three days in advance.

A Nutritious and Well-Balanced Breakfast

The breakfast menu is well-balanced, with a focus on Koshihikari rice (Kousagimai), locally grown vegetables, loin ham from Onagawa Ham Kobo, overnight dried horse mackerel, soft-boiled eggs, and bracken miso soup. Children’s lunch options are available, providing a family-friendly choice for travellers with children.

Facility

Fully Equipped Facilities Perfect for Family Trips

The property includes a kids’ room and a wide selection of complimentary rental items, making it suitable for a "baby’s first hot spring trip" as well as for family stays. The entire facility is thoughtfully designed for comfort across all generations, ensuring an enjoyable and relaxing time for everyone.

Tatami Flooring Throughout the Building for a Traditional Japanese Ambience

The entire building, including the lobby, corridors, and large public bath, is laid with tatami mats, creating a soft texture underfoot and evoking the ambience of a traditional Japanese interior. The "Usagiya" shop offers a wide variety of rabbit-themed souvenirs associated with Mt. Kousagi, the local guardian mountain deity, which is regarded as a symbol of good fortune.
