An Inn Rich in Nature, So Much That Deer Wander in Front
The oldest inn in Nara Prefecture, located in Nara Park, about a 4-minute walk from the Nara Kotsu Kasugataisha Honden stop. It is a special environment with Mt. Wakakusa in front of the gate and World Heritage Sites such as Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Todaiji Temple, and Kofukuji Temple within walking distance. All 12 guest rooms have different structures and settings, and each one has its own features, such as rooms with open-air baths and rooms with views of the ship's bottom ceiling. Dinner and breakfast are both served in your room, and the seasonal kaiseki dinner menu offers a variety of meal plans to meet a variety of needs. The hospitality of the hostess, who arranges flowers every day at the entrance and in the guest rooms, exudes a sense of warmth throughout.

Guest Room

Main Building: "Ashinari (Special Room)" and "Akebono"

This is an inn that appears in Junichiro Tanizaki's novel, and the main building is built in a Sukiya style where you can relax while looking out at Mt. Wakakusa and deer. There is the "Ashinari (special room)" on the second floor, which is equipped with a cypress bath and windows on three sides of the main room, and the "Akebono" on the first floor, which has an indoor bath and has splendid Japanese-style features such as a ship's-bottom ceiling.

Kanaki Sanso

Kanaki Sanso, which has a modern Japanese structure, has 5 rooms with gardens and open-air or semi-open-air baths. The various plans are also very popular, including access to a dedicated lounge and a maternity plan with five benefits.

Cuisine

The traditional hospitality of dining in your room

Both dinner and breakfast are served in your room. I love the old-fashioned hospitality where each dish is brought to you one by one. Dinner, which you can enjoy in the comfort of your own room, is a gorgeous-looking kaiseki meal made with seasonal local ingredients.

A variety of plans to further enjoy Dish

For dinner, a variety of plans are available to accommodate guests. We have a wide variety of options, including recommendations from the chef, upgrade plans, plans where you can enjoy local sake unique to Nara Prefecture, the birthplace of sake, and maternity plans that are gentle on pregnant women.

Facility

An inn where Japanese style and hospitality await you.

The beautiful flowers at the entrance and the flowers displayed in the guest rooms are all handmade by the landlady, from purchasing to arranging them. We are happy to provide hospitality that is based on the desire for guests to enjoy the four seasons. Young proprietresses also have opportunities to interact with the proprietresses, such as greeting and seeing them off.

Location

A hideaway nestled in a special location called Nara Park

Surrounded by world heritage sites that can be visited on foot, such as Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Todaiji Temple, and Kofukuji Temple, it is in a special location overlooking Mt. Wakakusa with lush grass in front of it. In addition, Todaiji Nigatsu-do Hall is open 24 hours a day, and we recommend visiting at night, which you can only enjoy if you stay overnight.

Picnic With "Musashino Special Bento"

Let's go on a picnic to Mt. Wakakusa right in front of us. You can reserve an early morning bento box, and the boxed lunch, hot miso soup, and bottle of Yamato tea will be provided. Even if you go up a little bit, the view is good. During the winter months when Mt. Wakakusa is closed, bento boxes are available inside the facility.

Enjoy a location surrounded by world heritage sites

The inn is located at the foot of Mt. Wakakusa, surrounded by world heritage sites, and allows you to spend a relaxing time in peace and quiet, where you can see deer as soon as you step out the front door. I would like to learn about the hidden tourist spots at the front desk and experience the various charms of Nara using the inn as a base.
