Cuisine

Seasonal Oita Cuisine Prepared with Local Ingredients

Creative kaiseki cuisine featuring local specialty "Oita Bungo beef" and seasonal ingredients is a major highlight of "Kirara." Rather than relying on elaborate preparation, each dish draws out the ingredients' natural flavors and presents the season's flavors.

Morning Meal Composed by Head Chef in Traditional Style

Meals are served in the dining area, with careful attention given to serving temperature and timing. Breakfast features a Japanese set menu prepared by the head chef, including grilled fish and a small hot pot. Rice is cooked in an individual pot for each group, ensuring it is served freshly made.

"Oita Wagyu" Served as a Highlight Regional Specialty

Selected cuts of "Oita Wagyu," chosen from high-quality Oita Bungo beef and graded 4 or higher for meat quality, are served at "Kirara." Dining plans include options such as a "steak kaiseki course" and a "shabu-shabu kaiseki course."

Location

Unobstructed Views of "Mount Yufu" Known as "Bungo Fuji"

Located on the border of Yufu and Beppu, "Mount Yufu" is one of Oita Prefecture’s notable peaks and is also known as "Bungo Fuji." The mountain scenery can be viewed from the semi-open-air bath in every guest room at "Kirara." Nearby, "Yunotsubo Kaido" is a lively sightseeing area popular with visitors.
