A Relaxing Inn to Spend Fulfilling Time With Nature
This accommodation is located at the foot of the Juniko area in the western part of the World Natural Heritage Shirakami Mountain Range. There are "Nordic authentic log cottages" and "Japanese-style rooms in the collective building", and there are restaurants, large communal baths, a gift shop, a play area, and an observation deck dotted around the large grounds. Dinner will feature a variety of seasonal bounties, including fresh seafood grown in the waters of the Shirakami Mountains and creative dishes packed with local vegetables. Activities such as trekking and snow hiking with local guides are also popular as there are courses with different lengths of time. Refresh yourself in the great outdoors by visiting Aoike, one of the twelve lakes, Kanayama Pond, and Nippon Canyon.

Nordic Authentic Log Cottage

There are 16 Finnish log cottages (capacity 6 people). The first floor has an atrium living room and bedroom, and the second floor has a bedroom, as well as a loft and balcony, where you can relax and feel a sense of unity with nature and warmth.

Collection Building Japanese-Style Room

A guest room with a capacity of 7 people, consisting of a 10 tatami living room and a 6 tatami loft. Equipped with air conditioning, heating, bath, toilet with warm water bidet, TV, refrigerator, hair dryer, and various amenities. Enjoy the relaxation that only tatami can provide and the natural scenery that can be seen from the window.

Enjoy a moment to warm your mind and body with a wood-burning stove

A wood-burning stove is installed in the cottage only during the winter, creating a heart-warming space with the flickering flame and the sound of crackling firewood. I want to enjoy my time to the fullest, reading books, playing games, enjoying hot drinks, etc.

Enjoy a Finnish sauna in the midst of nature

Guests staying in the cottages have the option of using a wood-burning sauna car. We have everything you need, such as the equipment needed to start the fire, items for the Roryu, a clock, a carbon monoxide checker, and a chair for the "Toto" so you can enjoy it easily.

Dinner to fully enjoy the blessings of the season

Dinner will be served at Restaurant Akashobin, where delicate dishes with rich seasonal flavors will be served. The creative cuisine, which uses plenty of fresh seafood, locally grown wild plants, and vegetables, is particularly popular. We also recommend the upgraded course with specially selected ingredients.

"Large Bath Aone no Yu"

Take a relaxing soak in the hot water while admiring the beautiful seasonal scenery at the separate "Large Bath Aone no Yu." Water from a well on the premises is pumped up and heated, making it a precious hot spring that allows you to experience the great nature of the Shirakami Mountains. There is a winter holiday period.

"Product Center Kawasemi"

Products filled with the charm of the Shirakami-Sanchi area are lined up, including specialty products, crafts, agricultural products, and processed products. You can get a feel for the local culture and industry while looking for souvenirs, so I recommend taking your time. You can also purchase Aoike Cider, a popular local cider.

There is little city light in the area, and the outside lights inside the facility are turned off early, so you can enjoy a beautiful night with a sky full of stars and the silhouette of the Shirakami Mountain Range. You can have a romantic time looking for constellations and waiting for shooting stars even in your room.

Aoike: A Mysterious Blue Pond Created by Nature

Aoike is one of the twelve lakes located on the west side of the Shirakami Mountains, a World Natural Heritage Site. It shines a clear cobalt blue, and is so transparent that you can see the fallen and decaying tree at the bottom of the water. It is possible to participate in trekking and encounter the mystical scenery with accommodation plans.

"Japan Canyon" boasts a magnificent scenery

Nippon Canyon, a cliff with exposed white tuff rock in the Juniko area, is also recommended as it offers a rare view. Along with the spectacular cliff scenery, the fresh greenery from spring to summer is beautiful, and the autumn leaves are spectacular. There is also an observation deck.
