Hygge Moments on a Private Beach
Opened in April 2023 in Aio, Yamaguchi City, this collection of four standalone cottages stands along a private beach. Each cottage features a different design, creating a row of charming, photogenic hideaways where both the exterior and interiors offer distinctive character. The setting invites a sense of 'hygge'—a Danish concept that embraces simple comfort and a personally relaxing atmosphere—within an open, liberating space. Some cottages include spacious decks with open-air baths, while others feature rooftop lookouts, offering playful ideas and uninterrupted views of the sea and sky.

"MARU" - a Cozy Space for Pairs

A cute, pure white, cylindrical building. The circular interior has curved sofas, mirrors, and other objects, giving it a somewhat humorous feel that lifts your mood. The bathroom has a window, so you can relax and gaze at the sea while taking a bath.

"HOSHI" - a Spacious Option for Three to Four Guests

This cottage features an oriental-inspired design, marked by a star placed on the roof—an emblem often regarded as a "symbol of hope" for its glow in the night. The Asian-style interiors evoke the atmosphere of an overseas resort, while the open-air bath on the deck offers uninterrupted views of the sea and sky.

"TSUKI" - a Serene Option for Pairs

This uniquely shaped cottage includes an observation deck that opens to expansive, far-reaching views. Inside, a loft with the atmosphere of a secret hideaway can be reached by climbing an athletic-style net, adding a playful touch that appeals to a sense of adventure.

"Kaze" - Ideal for a Four-Person Retreat

This stylish cottage features chic interiors and a ladder-style rope leading to the roof, where the shimmering sea can be admired or the night sky viewed while lying back. The indoor bath is also designed to frame views of the ocean. Small dogs are welcome to stay, allowing pets to enjoy the experience together.

A plan that includes the BBQ Set provides the opportunity to savor fresh, locally sourced ingredients with the sea just steps away. As an option, "Aio ebi"—local prawns farmed in Aio, an area known for kuruma-ebi aquaculture—can be added. Rental of only the barbecue grill is also available.

"Nigiri Sushi Set" for a Crafting Experience

The Nigiri Sushi Experience Set, created in collaboration with a local sushi restaurant, offers an interactive way to enjoy regional seafood. Fresh local fish and sushi rice are provided as a set, allowing the meal to be shaped into hand-pressed sushi or arranged as a rice bowl. Additional side dishes are included, and for those who prefer alternatives to fish, meat options can be arranged.

A "Breakfast Set" Featuring Flavorful Bagels

The "Breakfast Set" includes bagels made with homemade lemon yeast made by a long-established miso manufacturer using its fermentation technology. It will be served in the lounge, but you can also take it out. Enjoy the chewy texture while looking out at the sea.

A two-seater clear kayak offers a way to venture out onto the sea and experience the water up close.
