This hostel is located in a renovated building located in the back alley of Hokancho shopping street, approximately a 7-minute walk from JR Okayama Station. It was born on an uninhabited island in Ushimado Town, Okayama Prefecture, which is also known as "Japan's Aegean Sea," as a place for those who participated in the event, which has been held since 2010, to expand their encounters into connections. Dormitories include women-only rooms, mixed-gender dormitories, and Japanese-style rooms with futons on tatami mats. As a place where backpackers who enjoy traveling both domestically and internationally can easily stop by, we have not only dormitories but also a café lounge and shop. It is a comfortable space where friends and comrades can enjoy meeting each other.

Guest Room

Mixed-Gender Dormitory

"MIX DORMITORY" is a mixed-gender shared room with bunk beds. There are reading lights, personal outlets, and a private curtain on the lower level. It's a bright and calming room with large windows.

Female-Only Dormitory

This is a female-only shared room with bunk beds, a reading light, a personal outlet, and a private curtain on the lower bunk. The kitchen, showers, and toilets for guests are shared. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a room key.

Japanese-Style Room With Tatami Mats and Futons

"JAPANESE STYLE PRIVATE ROOM" is a private room with a Japanese-style futon and can be used by 1 person or more. There is also a "JAPANESE STYLE GROUP ROOM" that can accommodate up to 6 people.

3 Types of Private Rooms

The "Twin Room" for 2 people and the "Triple Room" for 3 people are private Japanese-style rooms with futons on tatami mats. A Japanese-style lampshade creates the atmosphere of a Japanese house. There is also a private room called "Standard Twin Room" with two single beds.

Popular "KAMP CURRY"

At "Café & LOUNGE", I want to try their signature curry. They offer several types of curry, including chicken curry and keema curry, and you can even order a customizable half & half option. A wide range of side dishes, such as "Fish & Chips", is also available.

Vegan Donuts Are Also Popular

The donuts are fried to order and are vegan sweets that do not use eggs or milk. There are simple flavors and "glazed donuts" coated with soy milk glaze, and they are so popular that there are people who just want them.

Original Blend Coffee

The blended coffee was formulated with KAMP in mind by Kinoshita Shouten, which handles coffee beans while communicating with local producers. Enjoy coffee brewed with AeroPress extraction, which brings out the individuality of the beans.

Common Spaces Such as the Kitchen and Shower

Since we are staying overnight without meals, we want to make use of the common spaces comfortably. The shower room is available 24 hours. Towels, linens, washer and dryer (or drum washer/dryer), and detergent are available for a fee. To use the washing machine, etc., please apply at reception.

Spacious "Café & LOUNGE"

"Café & LOUNGE", which can be used even by non-guests, is a space filled with an open and free atmosphere. You can casually enjoy the famous curry, beer, whiskey, gin, various cocktails, etc. along with Japanese "snacks."

Hosting a Variety of Events

Café & LOUNGE hosts live DJ events, talk shows, workshops, cooking classes, yoga, etc., and also serves as a pop-up shop. We offer a comfortable space where you can meet rich personalities.

KAMP is located in the back alley of Hokancho Shopping Street, just outside the Sports Park Exit (West Exit) of JR Okayama Station. The shopping street is lined with fashionable restaurants, and is attracting attention as a lively shopping street with stalls opened by young people and events held there.
