A Stay Shaped by the Traditional Culture of "Ehime"
"Entei" stands in the heart of "Dogo Onsen," one of Japan's historic hot spring areas. Opened in April 2023, this whole-building rental accommodation features two rooms with distinct concepts arranged side by side, each decorated with traditional cultural elements and works that convey the appeal of Ehime Prefecture. The property has introduced an auto-check-in system, rare even within Ehime, and accepts payment by card only. Check-in and check-out can be completed without meeting anyone, allowing smooth accommodation procedures. Approximately a minute walk from the accommodation are the bathing facilities "Dogo Onsen Annex Asuka no Yu" and "Dogo Onsen Tsubaki no Yu," offering a soothing time nearby.

Guest Room

Concept Rooms Capturing the Spirit of Ehime

The two rooms are designed around the concept of "an accommodation that conveys Ehime more than anywhere else." "Setoka," based in white, focuses on Tobe ware, a ceramic craft recognized as a representative product of Ehime, while "Haruka," based in black, focuses on Kikuma roof tiles made in the Kikuma area of Imabari.

"Setoka" Room with Warm White Interiors

Ozu washi paper made by hand using traditional techniques in Uchiko Town, Ehime, is used for the wallpaper, creating a calm atmosphere. Tobe ware is incorporated into bathroom wall decorations, bathtub tiles, and washbasins, with pieces designed to match the accommodation's concept.

"Haruka" Room with Calm Black Interiors

The room is finished in black throughout, creating an atmosphere completely different from "Setoka." Kikuma roof tiles, made in the Kikuma area of Imabari City and known as high-grade tiles, are used in wall decorations and the vanity, giving the interior a strong sense of Ehime's appeal.

Japanese Modern Designer Room for a Restful Stay

Each room features traditional crafts, including the bamboo work in the bedroom of "Haruka." Combining bamboo from Ehime and Kochi, the piece expresses ripples that form a circle, a design that echoes the name "Entei" through the idea of connection.

Spa

Refreshing Soak with High-Concentration Carbonated Water

The spacious bathroom features a high-concentration carbonated bath with a soft, skin-soothing feel. As oxygen and nutrients are carried throughout the body, beauty benefits such as support for youthful-looking skin are also expected.

Bright Bathroom with the Warmth of Tobe Ware

Tobe ware, painted by the designer with "Setoka" in mind, has excellent moisture retention and durability, making it well-suited for bath decor. It is used in bathroom wall decorations, bathtub tiles, and the washbasin, creating a comfortable bath-time setting.

Chic Interiors Inspired by Kikuma Roof Tiles

Kikuma roof tiles, known as high-grade tiles said to have been used at Matsuyama Castle, are incorporated into the bathroom wall and vanity. Strong and durable, this material is well-suited as a building element that adds character to the bathroom, and its burnished silver sheen matches the atmosphere of "Haruka."

Facility

Smooth Check-In with an Automated System

"Entei" has introduced an auto check-in system, a rare feature in Ehime. Payment is made by card, and check-in and check-out can be completed without meeting anyone, allowing stress-free accommodation procedures.

Location

Bathing Facility Blending Hot Springs and Art

Less than a 1-minute walk from the accommodation are the bathing facilities "Dogo Onsen Annex Asuka no Yu" and "Dogo Onsen Tsubaki no Yu." Both offer free-flowing hot spring water directly from the source, with no heating or added water, and at night, the hot spring baths are paired with illuminated art.

"Dogo Shopping Street" for Yukata Souvenir Strolls

"Dogo Shopping Street," affectionately known as "Dogo Haikara-dori," is lined with about 60 shops under its arcade, including dining spots and souvenir stores. Ehime specialties such as taimeshi sea bream rice, and mandarin orange juice are available for casual food walks.
