Diverse Cuisine Showcasing Sanin Regional Flavors
Kaiseki cuisine at "Kohan no Onsen Yado Kunibiki" features carefully prepared dishes highlighting fresh seafood from Shimane. Ingredients from the San’in region are used whenever possible, and dinner may include sushi made with locally caught fish, salt-grilled nodoguro, and Nita rice from Okuizumo. Breakfast also presents items such as grilled sea bream, shabu-shabu, and miso soup with shijimi clams. At certain times of the year, red snow crab from Sakaiminato is also served.

Guest Room

Lakeview Guestroom Facing a Brilliant Sunrise

Guest rooms overlook Lake Jinzai, said to be associated with Suserihime from Japanese mythology. Large windows frame scenery that changes with the morning and evening light and across the seasons. The surrounding San’in landscape, long connected with the deities of Izumo, forms the view from the room.

Loft Space and Lakeside Living Room for Relaxed Hours

Renovated in spring 2024, the guest room "Lakeside Loft Superior Twin – MIKOTO" features a loft space that appeals to children. A living area overlooking Lake Jinzai is also included.

Hot Spring Guestroom Designed for Private Bathing

Guest rooms supplied with hot spring water feature bath areas with windows overlooking the surrounding scenery. Morning light fills the view while time in the bath can be taken at any preferred moment, offering a private setting.

Spa

Free-Flowing Natural Hot Spring Bath from the Source

The public bath features hot spring water drawn from 1,100 meters underground. Both the open-air bath and the spacious indoor bath are supplied directly from the source. The spring is a sodium chloride and bicarbonate hot spring, and the smooth texture of the water is known as a skin-beautifying bath.

Open-Air Bath Fed by "Koryo Onsen" Beauty Waters

An open-air bath filled with salt-rich hot spring water provides lasting warmth as the mineral content helps prevent perspiration from evaporating, allowing the body to retain heat and reducing post-bath chill. A delicate veil of salt gently coats the skin, helping lock in the spring’s minerals and maintain moisture. The result is skin that feels softly hydrated after bathing.

Cuisine

Kaiseki Cuisine Highlighting Seasonal Sanin Ingredients

Seasonal kaiseki cuisine features ingredients from both the mountains and sea of the San’in region, known for its culinary heritage. Nita rice and shijimi clams from Lake Shinji are used as part of a focus on locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Desserts prepared by the in-house pâtissier are also served after the meal.

Izumo Breakfast Set With Sea Bream Shabu-Shabu

Breakfast includes sea bream shabu-shabu along with well-balanced dishes such as rice and miso soup with shijimi clams typical of the San’in region, presenting local flavors suited to the start of the day.

Glamping Barbecue Feast Cooked Over Open Flame

The glamping dinner features meats such as "Okuizumo Pork" and domestic Japanese Black wagyu, along with seafood from the San’in region. Served with salad and dessert, the outdoor meal is arranged in a course-style format.

Facility

Glamping Dome Tent Overlooking the Quiet Lake

The newly opened "Glamping Base IZUMO" presents scenery different from that of the main guest rooms. Activities such as barbecue and tent-style stays offer an outdoor setting connected with the surrounding landscape.

Seven Glamping Domes in Total

Seven glamping domes equipped with heating and air conditioning are set on the grounds. Depending on the season, domes with different concepts, such as candle or theater themes, are available, along with a pet-friendly dome featuring a dog run.
