A Hot Spring Inn With Views of Mt. Yarigatake and Natural Source-Drawn Hot Springs
A hot spring inn that stands along the clear stream of the Kamata River and overlooks Mt. Yarigatake, the famous peak of the Northern Alps. It has been well-received as a place where you can experience inconvenience and something extraordinary that you can't experience in the city. Yarimikan, which has a history of about 100 years, has helped many mountaineers soothe their fatigue in the hot springs. You can enjoy the hot spring water in the mixed open-air bath that has existed since the establishment of the hotel, four private baths each with a different style, and a large communal bath. The simple, neutral hot springs are recommended for people who are sensitive to cold, as they don't get cold easily.

Guest Room

Folk Art Style Guest Rooms with a Japanese Feel

A "folk art style" guest room with a distinctive structure that makes use of thick beams. The pure Japanese-style rooms, filled with craftsmanship throughout, are said to be popular with architecture buffs. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and some even have a hearth.

A Detached Storehouse-Type Guest Room That Is Rented as a Whole

The "Dozo-zukuri detached type" rooms, which utilize the original storehouses as they are, are maisonette-style rooms with an open-air bath. You can rent the entire cottage, which is a renovated storehouse, so it is recommended for families and groups.

Hot Springs

Mixed bathing open-air bath "Manten no Yu"

Manten-no-Yu, which has been around since its opening and has the longest history, is a mixed open-air bath. With its rustic presence, you can feel like you are enjoying a bath in the middle of nature. It's nice to be able to enjoy it together when staying as a couple.

Mixed bathing open-air bath "Yarimi no Yu"

A mixed open-air bath with a view of Mt.Yarigatake and a feeling of openness. Hot springs are effective for neuralgia, muscle pain, and sensitivity to cold, and you can warm yourself to the core while listening to the murmuring of the river. A "Yuamigi" is provided exclusively for the mixed open-air bath, and from 7:00 to 9:00 it is reserved for women only.

A large bath with a great view from the large windows

"Yarimikan" also has separate large public baths for men and women where you can enjoy 100% natural hot spring water without added water. The simple, neutral hot spring water is recommended for people who are sensitive to cold, as it does not make you feel cold. On a clear day, you can see the majesty of Mt. Yarigatake.

Cuisine

Uses vegetables and rice purchased from local contract farmers

This inn strives to produce locally for local consumption, purchasing wild plants and vegetables from local contracted farmers, and the rice used is Koshihikari "Golden Sparkle" from Wani Farm in Takayama City. You can enjoy delicious dishes made with ingredients grown in Okuhida, a region rich in nature, that will please your body.

Facility

A charming old folk house relocated from Niigata

"Yarimikan" was renovated in 2000 after being relocated from an old folk house that was built about 200 years ago. A warm space with an irori hearth welcomes you. They also paid close attention to the environment around the building, leaving it as natural as possible.

Summer in Okuhida, Surrounded by Cool Breezes and Greenery

The scenery of Okuhida in the summer is spectacular, and you can take a bath while looking out at one of Japan's best mountain panoramas at the inn. I want to refresh my mind and body while feeling the breath of nature, such as the clear river and the wind blowing from the lush forest.
