JR Himi Line’s Shimao Station is approximately a 5-minute walk away. The inn is located near Shimao Beach, one of Toyama’s most iconic seaside spots, and is known for its seafood cuisine. Toyama Bay, often called a "natural live tank," is among Japan’s leading fishing grounds, with a rich variety of fresh catch available throughout the year. Seasonal local fish and regionally sourced dishes are served in a one-night, two-meal stay. The property features three private natural hot spring baths, with mineral-rich water drawn from the nearby coast that gently warms the body from within. Scenic viewpoints and cultural attractions are also close by, offering a fulfilling Himi experience for guests of all ages.

Spa

Three Private Onsen Baths to Choose From

There are three baths within the hotel: Kikyo-no-Yu, which is soothing with the scent of cypress, Nadeshiko-no-Yu, which is made of calm stone, and Katakago-no-Yu, which is barrier-free and can be accessed by wheelchair users. Available for private use. The hot water is 100% natural hot spring.

Convenient Smart System for Easy Nighttime Use

Each private bath is available in 45-minute sessions from 3:30 P.M. to 9:00 A.M. the following morning. Availability may be checked in real time via smartphone, eliminating the need to visit each bath in person. The system allows for relaxed use at late-night or early-morning hours as well.

Cuisine

Seafood from Toyama Bay, called "Natural Fish Tank"

The dynamic topography of Toyama Bay, which rises from the steep Tateyama Mountain Range at an altitude of 3,000 meters and sinks to the ocean floor at a depth of approximately 1,000 meters, fosters a rich fishing ground. A wide variety of seafood is landed directly at Himi Fishing Port, allowing dishes to be prepared while the catch is still exceptionally fresh. The abundant selection and vivid flavors of the sea are enjoyed at their peak.

Savor the Local Specialty, Snow Crab

The restaurant purchases live snow crabs with tags on them, which are proof that they have been carefully selected, from Shinminato Fishing Port in Imizu City. During the fall/winter season, be sure to enjoy "Crab sashimi" and "Grilled crab," which have a plump texture and the full flavor of crab.

Delicate Japanese Glass Shrimp, a Treasure of Toyama Bay

Freshly landed Japanese glass shrimp display a delicate, translucent pink hue, earning the name "jewel of Toyama Bay." Their melt-in-the-mouth texture and refined, concentrated sweetness—despite their small size—are enjoyed at their finest here.

The Kitokito Freshness of Toyama Bay’s Catch

"Kitokito" is a Toyama dialect term meaning exceptionally fresh. Dishes include "Awabi no Jigoku-yaki," where freshly caught abalone is grilled right before serving, and premium blackthroat seaperch (nodoguro), known for its rich flavor and silky texture. Both showcase the vivid, just-caught freshness that defines the region’s seafood.

Location

Take a Leisurely Stroll with Ocean Views

The pine forest right next to the inn and the coastal road overlooking the Shimao coast are a perfect walking course to enjoy the sea breeze. It is also designated as a national cycle route as the "Toyama Bayside Cycling Course," and cycling is also recommended.

Amaharashi Coast, a Quasi-National Park

The view of the towering Tateyama Mountain Range at an altitude of 3,000 meters above Toyama Bay is majestic, beautiful, and mysterious, and is a scenery you won't see anywhere else. The scenery shifts with the seasons, creating a striking, almost surreal view. It is a place that invites capturing the moment on camera before leaving.
