Consecutive Stay Plan offering special savings for multiple nights with the Standard Plan featuring Kuroge Wagyu and seasonal fish as double main dishes.

Retreat to a Secluded Stay with Private Source-Fed Baths
Opened in June 2020 as an annex of "Yamanokami Onsen Yukaen" in the mountains of Hanamaki City, Iwate, "Besso Seiryukan" features 20 guest rooms, each with a bathroom fitted with a hiba wood bathtub, where the hot spring water of Yamanokami Onsen, known as “Bijin no Yu” for its smooth texture, flows directly from the source. The spacious rooms include a twin-bed Japanese-style sleeping area, a living room, and a terrace, creating a setting for a relaxed and refined stay. Dinner presents a kaiseki course with Iwate's Kuroge Wagyu and seasonal fish as the double main dishes, highlighting the region’s seasonal bounty.

Guest Room

Steaming Water Drawn Directly Into Each Bath

All 20 guest rooms across five buildings include bathrooms fitted with hiba wood bathtubs. Surrounded by the refreshing aroma of hiba, the renowned waters of Yamanokami Onsen flow directly from the source. Large bath windows frame views of lush greenery during the soak.

Second-Floor Guest Room with Soaring Ceilings

Including a private terrace, the spacious 65m² first-floor guest room provides a comfortable setting for two adults. The Japanese-modern living area, designed in brown tones, features warm downlights softly illuminating the coffered ceiling.

Second-Floor Guest Rooms Featuring an Open Space with High Ceilings

The spacious second-floor guest room mirrors the first floor in size and features an open design that showcases its exposed beam structure. The wood-accented living area includes a refined long sofa, with views of greenery beyond the terrace.

Unwind on a Secluded Terrace in Open Nature

All guest rooms include a twin-bed Japanese-style sleeping area and a private terrace. The wood-deck terrace offers a secluded setting shielded from outside view, with swaying trees creating a tranquil backdrop.

Spa

Indulge in the Renowned Waters of Yamanokami Onsen in Complete Privacy

One of the defining features of "Besso Seiryukan" is the hiba wood bathtub provided in every guest room, offering a private setting to experience the renowned waters of Yamanokami Onsen. Opening the large bath window allows fresh breezes from Hanamaki to flow in during the soak.

Bath-Hopping at the Grand Baths of "Yukaen"

Overnight guests also have access to the large public baths with free-flowing hot spring water at the sister property "Yukaen." Bathing areas include "Toyosawa no Yu," featuring one of the largest open-air baths in the Hanamaki Onsen area, and "Komorebi no Yu," which includes a sauna, allowing a tour of Yamanokami Onsen’s baths.

A Strongly Alkaline Simple Hot Spring Renowned as a “Beauty Bath”

With a faint sulfur scent, Yamanokami Onsen is a strongly alkaline simple spring with a pH of 9.3. The water has a smooth, lotion-like texture and is known as a “Bijin no Yu.” The baths feature natural hot spring water used in a free-flowing style without circulation.

Cuisine

Carefully Selected Ingredients Enjoyed in a Kaiseki Course

The standard course "Yubi" features Iwate Prefecture’s Kuroge Wagyu loin and seasonal fish as double main dishes. Beginning with a colorful assortment of appetizers, the menu includes sashimi and simmered dishes that highlight ingredients at their seasonal peak.

Special Course “Fūga” Featuring Premium Fillet Beef

For a more elevated option, the special course "Fuga" offers an upgrade from the standard menu, featuring Iwate's Kuroge Wagyu filet as the selected cut. The course highlights the rich flavors of locally sourced ingredients.

A Colorful Japanese Breakfast

At the dining venue "Suisengetsu," a variety of beautifully presented dishes are arranged from the morning. The menu includes grilled fish, rolled omelet, simmered items, and pickles, featuring fresh local vegetables and seasonal seafood.

Facility

Pause With Mountain Views From the Lobby Lounge

Stepping into the wood-accented lobby lounge, floor-to-ceiling glass windows frame sweeping views of the mountains of Iwate, reflecting the changing seasons like a painting. Sweets from a local confectionery and complimentary drinks are available in this relaxing setting.
