A Hidden Inn for Adults with Private Free-Flowing Baths in Every Room
Bessho Seiryukan opened in June 2020 as an annex to Yamanokami Onsen Yukaen, located in the mountains of Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture. All 20 guest rooms have bathrooms equipped with bathtubs made of cypress wood, and you can enjoy the Yamanokami hot springs, which are famous for their "beautiful skin" hot springs that are as thick as lotion, flowing directly from the source. The spacious guest rooms feature a Japanese-style bedroom with twin beds, a living room, and a terrace, making it a space where adults can spend a relaxing and luxurious time. Dinner is a luxurious kaiseki course featuring Japanese Kuroge beef from Iwate prefecture and seasonal fish as a double main course. Enjoy the local bounty of each season to your heart's content.

Guest Room

All Rooms Have Free-Flowing Bathrooms

There are 20 guest rooms in 5 buildings, all with bathrooms equipped with cypress bathtubs. Enjoy the famous hot springs of Yamanokami Onsen, fed directly from the source, while being surrounded by the refreshing scent of cypress. Enjoy a bath while looking out at the greenery of the trees from the large bathroom window.

Spacious 1st Floor Guest Room Where Adults Can Relax and Spend Time

The spacious 1st floor guest room, measuring 65 square meters including a private terrace, is a space where two adults can relax and unwind. In the modern Japanese living room, which is based on brown, warm-colored downlights gently illuminate from the coffered ceiling.

2nd floor guest room with high ceiling and open space

The rooms on the second floor are just as spacious as the first floor, and the ceilings are intentionally left uncovered to reveal a beautiful beam structure, giving the space an open feel. A luxurious long sofa is placed in the living room filled with the warmth of wood, and you can view the greenery from the terrace.

Private guest room terrace where you can relax in the midst of nature

All rooms have a Japanese-style bedroom with twin beds and a private terrace. The wooden deck terrace with a day bed is a private space that is isolated from the outside view. Let's forget about time while watching the trees swaying in the wind.

Hot Springs

Enjoy the famous hot springs of Yamanokami Onsen all to yourself

One of the charms of Bessho Seiryukan is that all rooms are equipped with bathtubs made of cypress wood, allowing you to enjoy the famous Yamanokami Onsen all to yourself. I want to open the large window of the bathroom and enjoy a blissful bath while feeling the refreshing breeze of Hanamaki.

Take a tour of the large public bath at our sister hotel "Yukaen"

Guests can also use the large public bath with natural hot spring water at the sister hotel, Yukaen. Why not enjoy the luxury of Yamanokami Onsen by visiting Toyosawa-no-Yu, which has one of the largest open-air baths in Hanamaki Onsenkyo, or Komorebi-no-Yu, which has a sauna.

A strong alkaline simple spring with a reputation as a "hot spring for beautiful skin"

Yamanokami Onsen, which smells faintly of sulfur, is a strong alkaline simple spring with a pH of 9.3. The hot water has a thick texture that feels like lotion, and is also known as a "hot spring for beautiful skin." Enjoy to your heart's content the natural hot spring water that does not circulate.

Cuisine

Selected ingredients to enjoy during a kaiseki course

The basic course, "Yumi," is a luxurious double main course that includes Iwate Prefecture Kuroge Wagyu beef loin and seasonal fish. Enjoy a variety of dishes, starting with colorful appetizers, making use of seasonal ingredients such as sashimi and simmered dishes, that become delicious with each season.

Special course "Fuga" where you can enjoy fillet meat

If you want a bit of luxury, choose the special course "Fuga," which is a step up from the basic course. The fillets are made from parts of Japanese black beef from Iwate Prefecture. I want to take my time to enjoy the delicious flavors of local produce.

Breakfast is colorful Japanese food

At the restaurant "Suisengetsu", a variety of menus are beautifully and colorfully displayed from the morning. Enjoy a variety of dishes made with fresh, locally grown vegetables and seasonal fish, such as grilled fish, tamagoyaki, simmered dishes, and pickled vegetables.

Facility

Lobby lounge where you can relax and enjoy the seasonal views of the mountains.

When you step into the lobby lounge, which is filled with the warmth of wood, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains that reflect Iwate's seasons through the entire glass window, like a painting. Relieve your travel fatigue with sweets from a local confectionery shop and free drinks.
