This long-established ryokan celebrated its 100th anniversary on October 1, 2019. Fed by Ikaho Onsen's "Shirogane no Yu" hot spring, the property is known for its rooftop open-air bath at an elevation of 800 meters, offering views of the hot spring town and the surrounding natural landscape. Accommodations are available in seven room types designed to suit a variety of travel styles. The cuisine emphasizes locally sourced ingredients, featuring dishes prepared with an abundance of regional produce and presented with equal attention to flavor and appearance. Conveniently located approximately 1 minute on foot from the ropeway station and approximately 4 minutes on foot from both the bus terminal and Ikaho's iconic stone staircase district, the ryokan also serves as an excellent base for sightseeing.

Renovated at the end of 2022, the "Twin Room with Free-Flowing Panoramic Hot Spring Bath (703)" features wall designs inspired by the four seasons. Renovated at the end of 2022, the "Japanese-Style Room with Free-Flowing Panoramic Hot Spring Bath (705)" features a comfortable, natural design accented with Ryukyu tatami flooring. The panoramic bath offers views of the mountains of Joshu and, at times, a sea of clouds, creating a luxurious setting for a relaxing hot spring experience.

Renovated in January 2022, the "Special Japanese-Western Room with Hot Spring Bath (706)" offers the best views of the sea of clouds in the property. With its chic and calming atmosphere, the room is ideally suited to couples. A private hot spring bath and sweeping mountain vistas create an exclusive retreat.

Renovated in January 2022, the "Special Japanese-Western Room with Hot Spring Bath (707)" offers a private layout with separate living and sleeping areas. Featuring an elegant antique-inspired design centered on a horse motif closely associated with the inn, the room combines distinctive character with a refined atmosphere.

One of the two hot spring waters of Ikaho Onsen, the clear and colorless "Shirogane no Yu," is featured in two open-air baths and a private open-air bath. "Roman" is an open-air bath resembling a rooftop garden, with views of Mount Akagi, the Hotaka Mountain Range, Mount Komochi, Mount Onoko, and the Tanigawa Mountain Range. Private Open-Air Bath "Nagomi"

Renovated and reopened in December 2018, this private open-air bath features a distinctive ceramic tub that combines modern design with the warmth of natural materials. Surrounded by mountain views, open skies, and the townscape of Ikaho below, it offers a private setting for a relaxing hot spring experience.

Open-Air Bathing Paired with Hot Springs and Local Sake

For those planning to use the open-air bath, the "Open-Air Bath Drink Set" is available by reservation. While soaking in the hot spring and taking in the scenic views, guests can float a wooden tub containing local sake in the bath, adding to the traditional hot spring atmosphere. This distinctive offering is said to be uncommon in the area and has proven popular.
