An Inn in a Historic Hot Spring Area Dating Back to the Heian Period
Kappo Ryokan Yunohanaso is a hospitality inn located within Nikko National Park. All guest rooms face the Hokigawa Valley, and you can enjoy not only the beauty of the valley, but also the harmony of Nikko's mountains and the valley. The hot water is a weak salt spring that is said to be effective against fatigue and women's diseases, and is 100% free-flowing from the source without any heating or addition of water. In addition to the open-air bath and large communal bath, the 8 guest rooms with open-air baths also have hot water flowing directly from the source. In addition, the chef's signature kaiseki cuisine, which changes monthly and uses carefully selected ingredients, and the breakfast, which is so beautiful that you might mistake it for dinner, are also popular.

Guest Room

Room with Detached Open-Air Bath

There are 3 types of "Room Rooms with detached open-air baths": "Musashi", which can accommodate 4 people, and "Sagami" and "Yamato", which can accommodate 3 people. There are Japanese-style rooms and Western-style rooms, and the hot water in the rooms is 100% free from the source.

Main Building Guest Room with Open-Air Bath

There are 5 types of "main building guest rooms with open-air baths": "Owari" and "Mino," which can accommodate 3 people, and "Awa," "Bizen," and "Tango," which can accommodate 2 people. You can choose between a Japanese-style room or bed type at Owari, Mino, Awa, Bizen, and Tango.

"Main Building Japanese-Western Room"

"Main Building Japanese-Western Room" consists of "Kaga" with a capacity of 2 people, "Echizen", "Hitachi", and "Kai" with a capacity of 3 people. Each room has a different atmosphere, but you can see the Hoki River from every room. Spend your time admiring the beauty of the valley, which changes its appearance depending on the season, from the window.

Hot Springs

An open-air bath with a spectacular view of the Hoki River

Both men and women can enjoy a private bath in the open-air bath overlooking the beautiful Hokigawa Valley for 50 minutes from 3:30 p.m. to midnight (reservation required). The next morning, both men and women can use it freely.

Large public bath available 24 hours a day

The large public bath is a mildly saline spring that is said to be effective for recovering from fatigue and treating women's diseases. From the time you check in until 10am the next day, you can soak as much as you like whenever you want. Also, I'm glad that there are cold drinks available in the changing room.

All baths have 100% natural hot spring water

One of the attractions of this inn is that you can soak in hot spring water not only in the open-air bath and the large communal bath, but also in the open-air bath attached to your guest room. The rooms with open-air baths are located on the terrace, so you can soak in the hot water while looking out at nature such as the Hoki River and the valley.

Special amenities

Detaille La Maison, which was jointly developed by POLA and the long-established Parisian brand Detaille, which has attracted queens from all over Europe, is always on display.

Cuisine

Monthly kaiseki cuisine made with carefully selected ingredients

Enjoy plenty of local delicacies, as well as seasonal ingredients carefully selected by the head chef. The thoughtfulness of each item being served to you after you take your seat is also very sophisticated, so that you can enjoy your meal slowly. You can choose between monthly kaiseki cuisine and 5 types of hotpot.

Beautiful food with a "dinner-like atmosphere" starting in the morning

With the motto of "local production for local consumption," the breakfast is made with fresh local ingredients, and the presentation is so skillful that you can easily mistake it for dinner. Apparently some guests come to this inn to enjoy breakfast.

Facility

A bright and relaxing interior

The interior is bright and calm, with stately sofas and antique-style furniture. Of course, you can see the mountain stream from the lobby. There is also a charging station for electric vehicles.

A Shop With Items Selected by the Landlady

There is also a shop space where the proprietress's "products suitable for eyeglasses" are displayed. There are also large and small banquet halls and conference rooms, which can be used for parties with meals.
