Four Private Open-Air Baths Surrounded by the Gentle Countryside of Zao
This is a 18-room detached house scattered over an area of approximately 10,000 square meters. Depending on your room and the viewing angle, you can enjoy the different aspects of Satoyama, such as the magnificent nature of the Zao Mountain Range, a forest of trees, and a farm filled with home-grown vegetables. You can cross the promenade and take a stroll around the area, visiting the four private open-air baths and admiring the flowers that bloom in each season. The main building of the inn is the central space of Daikon no Hana. The majestic wooden structure, with its 180-year-old beams catching the eye, is a sight to behold. The dishes made with vegetables freshly harvested from their own farm are also gentle and powerful.

Guest Room

18 Cottages Scattered in a Natural Forest

Spend a relaxing time in one of the 18 cottage-style outbuildings scattered in the natural forest, where you can hear the sound of the wind passing through the trees and the chirping of birds. Stroll around the 10,000 tsubo grounds in the morning, and enjoy an open-air bath at night while gazing at the starry sky.

The Annex with an Open-Air Bath Is the Ultimate Healing Space

There are 4 types of rooms with open-air baths. Each type has its own charm, including maisonette-style rooms where you can take a bath while enjoying the view from the second floor, and rooms with open-air baths that extend out onto a large terrace.

Hot Springs

A private bath in nature to yourself

The open-air bath for guest rooms is located far away from the neighboring building, making it feel like a hideout, providing a relaxing space with privacy. Surrounded by nature, you can relax and stretch your arms and legs and enjoy a relaxing hot spring bath.

Four hot springs with a rustic atmosphere dotted in a thicket of trees

There are four private open-air baths that you can enjoy touring along the walking path. All of the bathhouses with quaint names such as "Asa Kaze," "Tori Ame," "Hoshi no Hayashi," and "Yukimachi" are fed directly from the source. They are scattered throughout the thicket of trees to blend in with the surrounding nature.

Open-air bath with natural hot spring water rich in hot spring ingredients

The elegant inn is appropriately called a "hot spring mountain villa", and its hot springs are located in Togatta Onsen, whose water source is the pot of Zao. There is no need to make a reservation for the private bath, where you can enjoy the abundant water flowing directly from the source, so you can enjoy it anytime for free.

Cuisine

Vegetables play a leading role, while meat and seafood play supporting roles

Genuine luxury ingredients are "freshly harvested ingredients." The meals at the inn, which has its own farm, feature seasonal vegetables. Home-cooked meals made with vital ingredients have a simple, strong flavor that is not found in kaiseki-style inn cuisine.

A monthly table that you'll want to visit again and again

The dinner menu is a monthly course menu. There is a wide variety of dishes made with freshly harvested ingredients that change with the seasons, and you'll want to come back again and again to enjoy the deep flavors.

Breakfast with plenty of vegetables from our own farm

Enjoy a refreshing breakfast of Japanese cuisine, including freshly baked dashi-wrapped eggs and handmade tofu. You can also enjoy homemade tomato juice and a salad buffet made with vegetables from our own farm. The taste of freshly harvested crunchy vegetables is exceptional.

Facility

Feel the joy of spring as the flowers open their buds

As you walk along the promenade, a peach tree dyed a pale red will stop you. If you suddenly look around you, you will notice that there are plants with buds that are starting to change color, and wildflowers that are becoming greener.

A Natural Corridor Where You Can Relax and Enjoy Yourself

It's also fun to take a leisurely stroll along the seasonal promenades that connect the inn facilities and homestead farm scattered across the vast grounds of 10,000 tsubo. If you get tired of walking, stop by the terrace or picture book room and take a break.

Spend a relaxing time surrounded by the greenery of the forest

Wooden chairs and small tables are set up along the walking path through the 10,000-tsubo natural forest. As you sit and watch the sunlight filtering through the trees and listen to the whispers of the forest, you'll almost forget your sense of time.
