A Dinner Buffet Brimming with Seasonal Flavors
Awara Onsen, long regarded as a cherished retreat for the "Kansai cultural community" and favored by writers and artists for generations, is counted among Fukui’s leading hot spring destinations and is recognized as one of Japan’s "Top 100 Therapeutic Hot Springs" recommended by balneological physicians. "Seifuso," with a history of nearly 70 years, stands quietly here and features one of the largest garden-style open-air baths in the Hokuriku region. A variety of guest rooms offers relaxed stays tailored to different styles and needs. In September 2022, the theatrical buffet restaurant "Niji" was renewed, presenting dinner in an open-kitchen format where seasonal local ingredients and seafood from the Sea of Japan are prepared before guests’ eyes.

Guest Room

A Hideaway in Awara Onsen "RO-AN"

A guest room that feels like a hideaway, reopened with only two rooms. It features a living room with modern Ryukyu tatami mats and a bedroom with wooden flooring. It is a high-quality space with a mix of Scandinavian and Japanese tastes. *Non-smoking room

The Finest Suite "Tomi no Kaze"

There are 13 special guest rooms in three types: Japanese-Western style rooms with open-air baths, Japanese-style rooms with open-air baths, and Japanese-style rooms with semi-open-air baths, each with a different taste. In particular, in the Japanese-style rooms with semi-open-air baths, you can enjoy the luxury of having access to the hot spring water all to yourself. *Non-smoking room

Japanese-Western Comfort with a Sense of Heritage

This non-smoking room features traditional Japanese motifs throughout, including shippo-tsunagi, asanoha, ichimatsu, and kikkō patterns. The space invites relaxation on beds and sofas, while reflecting a wish for the spirit of Japanese design and hospitality to be appreciated across generations.

The Gyoen Room, Embracing a Refined Japanese Ambience

The standard room "Gyoen" is a non-smoking guest room available in two styles: a Japanese room or a Japanese-Western room, both offering a refined sense of traditional Japanese character. Each layout provides a spacious environment, creating a relaxed and open atmosphere.

Spa

A Grand Garden-Style Open-Air Onsen Unique to Hokuriku

The expansive garden open-air bath, one of the largest in the Hokuriku region and supplied entirely with natural hot spring water, offers the sensation of being enveloped by a traditional Japanese garden. The surrounding landscape, together with the open sky, creates a deep sense of release that invites unhurried, lingering moments.

New Large Public Bath with Carbonated Spring Bath "Komorebi no Yu"

At the large public bath "Komorebi no Yu", which opened in September 2018, you can enjoy not only the historic Awara Onsen, but also the first carbonated spring bath in this hot spring town. Equipped with an open-air bath and a mist sauna, this bathhouse allows you to fully enjoy the inn's hot springs. Gender exchange system.

Footbath Fufufu, Overlooking a Quiet Bamboo Grove

The footbath may be enjoyed while still wearing a yukata, allowing for a casual and relaxed experience. It is open to all guests, making it a comfortable setting for shared conversation. With views of the surrounding bamboo grove, time passes at an easy, unhurried pace.

Cuisine

A Buffet Featuring the Flavors of Each Season

At the theater buffet "Niji", dinner and breakfast are served buffet style. Dinner includes Wagyu steak, freshly baked pizza, Chinese, Italian, and desserts, while breakfast includes freshly baked bread, handmade rice balls, and Fukui's specialty grilled mackerel.

Live Cooking at the Open Kitchen

The buffet's motto is "serve hot food while it's hot," with menu items such as seasonal tempura and juicy steaks prepared by chefs in an open kitchen, so you can enjoy freshly prepared dishes.

Private Dining Room "Sakura"

Sakura is a restaurant that opened in December 2017. It has a nostalgic and warm atmosphere, inspired by the rural scenery of Fukui, a rice-producing region. We recommend the head chef's "Tomikaze Kaiseki" course meal.

Facility

A Renowned Hot Spring Endorsed by Spa Physicians

Seifuso, located in Awara Onsen which first opened in 1883, has a history of approximately 70 years as a hot spring inn. Upon entering, a spacious lobby unfolds, offering a welcoming atmosphere that contrasts warmly with the scale of the property. Soft seating and gentle lighting create a relaxed setting, encouraging unhurried moments of rest.
