"Sauna Cotan Sapporo" is located approximately a 6-minute drive from the "Daiwa House Premist Dome" in Toyohira Ward, Sapporo. Its name combines the Finnish word kota, meaning "Hut," and the Ainu word kotan, meaning "Village." This auto-loyly sauna is supervised by a board member of the Japan Sauna Society. The men’s sauna features brick walls reminiscent of a Scandinavian sauna hut, while the women’s sauna has benches encircling a stove, evoking the feeling of a bonfire in a Finnish forest. Both settings recreate the atmosphere of Northern Europe.
