島ヶ原温泉 やぶっちゃの湯
"Shimagahara Onsen Yabucha no Yu" is a day-trip hot spring facility in Iga City, Mie Prefecture. In addition to a bath with natural hot spring water rich in minerals, an open-air panoramic bath overlooking the countryside, and a large bath that is known for leaving your skin smooth, there is also a sauna, a reclining bath, and more. There is also a free rest area and a souvenir shop with Iga's specialty products. In addition to the hot springs, there is a campsite with sites with power outlets that even beginners can enjoy, where you can relax while feeling the rich nature of the Kizugawa River. 熊ノ沢温泉
Located approximately a 5-minute drive from JR Hachinohe Station, this day-use hot spring facility is easily accessible via the Tohoku Shinkansen. The natural Koki-no-Yu spring water, drawn from a depth of around 800 metres, flows freely at 100% capacity. The seasonal scenery viewed from the open-air bath offers a particularly special experience. The spring water, known as a “bijin-no-yu” (beautiful skin bath), is rich in botanical extracts and natural moisturising components, gently warming the body to the core in a short time. A wide variety of bathing options are available, including an artificial carbonated spring bath, a low-frequency electric bath, the Be-Skin Bath (women’s area only) with ultra-fine microbubbles, and a sauna. After bathing, unwind at "Momidokoro Hogushiya", a massage corner within the facility. Locally grown, carefully selected vegetables are also available for purchase.
道の駅 蛍街道西ノ市
"Roadside Station Hotaru Kaido Nishinoichi" is located in Toyota Town, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, a naturally rich area famous for its fireflies. The station building, designed to resemble a traditional farming village, showcases a real steam locomotive, drawing visitors from across Japan. The station offers day trips to Nishinoichi "Hotaru no Yu" hot spring, a shop selling locally grown vegetables and processed game products, souvenirs, and a Japanese restaurant.
函館湯元花の湯
Hakodate Yumoto Hana no Yu, about 16 minutes by car from JR Hakodate Station, is a day-trip hot spring facility where you can enjoy the free flowing hot spring water. Equipped with a "Garden Open-air Bath" and "Lauryu Sauna" with different Japanese and Western styles, high and low temperature indoor baths, and a negative ion air purifying space "Salt Pit", this facility offers a special feeling of "Toto" after sauna. "Natural Hot Spring Nanaehama no Yu" is a hot spring facility in a fantastic location right in front of the sea. The indoor bath is a free-flowing sodium chloride spring that keeps you warm, and the open-air bath with an ocean view offers views of Mount Hakodate and the ferries. The sunset time is particularly beautiful and will soothe both body and mind. The sauna is well-equipped with a far-infrared sauna, a high-temperature sauna (for men), and a cold plunge. "Yamanami-no-Yu" is a large day-trip hot spring facility located on the banks of the Kamanashi-gawa River in western Yamanashi . Situated within "Yamanami Fureai Park"—which also features a pool, park, and tennis courts available for all ages—you can enjoy a mix of playful activities and relaxing hot spring baths at your leisure. Known as "Hot springs for beautiful skin" due to their excellent heat retention and skin-enhancing properties, the facility offers 11 types of baths, including an open-air bath, as well as a sauna, ensuring a peaceful environment to unwind.
スパリゾート雄琴あがりゃんせ
This day-trip hot spring facility on the shores of Lake Biwa features hot springs from two private sources. ほのかの湯 北広島
Located in Kitahiroshima Town and surrounded by the lush nature of the Geihoku area in Hiroshima Prefecture, this natural hot spring facility with 15 private day-use rooms opened in April 2025. Just a five-minute drive from Chiyoda Interchange on the Chugoku Expressway, it welcomes drivers and motorcyclists looking to ease the fatigue of a long journey. Room types include "Standard" and "Semi-Premium," each with indoor and open-air baths and a combined changing and rest area, as well as "Premium," which adds a sauna, cold bath, and massage chair. The private setting allows couples, families, and friends to relax while soaking in mineral-rich cloudy water, abundant in iron and gentle on the skin.
サウナコタンサッポロ
"Sauna Cotan Sapporo" is located about a six-minute drive from the "Daiwa House Premist Dome" in Toyohira Ward, Sapporo. Its name combines the Finnish word kota, meaning "Hut," and the Ainu word kotan, meaning "Village." This auto-loyly sauna is supervised by a board member of the Japan Sauna Society. The men’s sauna features brick walls reminiscent of a Scandinavian sauna hut, while the women’s sauna has benches encircling a stove, evoking the feeling of a bonfire in a Finnish forest. 湯や 晴ル音
"Yuya Harune" stands in a corner of Yuno Onsen in Shunan City, Yamaguchi. They have three types of hot spring facilities: private hot springs, saunas, and large communal baths. The theme of the private hot spring is Yakushi Nyorai. "Tsubotsubo" is an open space where you can also take a bath in the outside air, with a bathtub shaped like the medicinal pot held by the Yakushi Nyorai in his left hand. In addition, the word "koukou," which represents a shining white light, is an image of the moonlight bodhisattva standing next to Yakushi Nyorai, and you can enjoy the feeling of bathing in dim moonlight even during the day. The public bath has been renovated while retaining the form of Yunoso, which closed in 2022, so fans of the old days will feel nostalgic.

Located approximately a 15-minute walk from Kita-Suzurandai Station on the Kobe Electric Railway, this hot spring offers a garden open-air bath where you can enjoy the four seasons on a day trip. The two types of spring water they boast are natural hot spring water that springs from about 1,100 meters underground, and "Miyamizu", which is rich in minerals and is essential for the sake brewing of "Nada", and has been selected as one of Japan's 100 famous waters. After relaxing in the hot spring, you can also enjoy creative cuisine, including a kaiseki banquet.

Mifune Terrace, conveniently located about 5 minutes by car from Mifune IC on the Kyushu Expressway, is a complex facility where you can refresh your mind and body, combining a hot spring, sauna, cafe, izakaya, and hotel. The hot spring "Yugetsu" has a large bath, an open-air bath, and 3 saunas that are perfect for sauna lovers, and the bedrock bath "Hoshi" has a planetarium. Ichibata Yakushi is located on Mt. Ichibata at an altitude of 200m in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture. It is the head temple of the Yakushi faith that has continued for more than 1,100 years, and has long been known as the "Medicine Master of the Eyes" and is also known as the Buddha who helps children grow up safely. The divine atmosphere of the approach, surrounded by forest, makes you feel like you have traveled to another world. If you look out over the Shimane Peninsula from the temple grounds, you will feel as if you have stepped into the world of Izumo mythology.

Shiohama no Yu Shikoku Kenkomura, located approximately 10 minutes by car from Sakaide IC on the Seto Chuo Expressway, is a hot spring facility where you can enjoy a bath, sauna, and meals all day long. There are a variety of baths for men and women, and the women's bathroom has a new exclusive "Lowry sauna", where they hold daily self-lowry sessions, which are rare in Kagawa Prefecture, and Aufguss, which involves raising steam and blowing hot air through it.
